Sony Announce Vodafone Is The Preferred Provider Of 3G For The PSV In The UK, Get Wipeout 2048 For Free
Sony have announced a partnership with Vodafone that sees Vodafone as the preferred provider of 3G connectivity for the Playstation Vita. The 3G version of the PSV will come with a Vodafone Sim Card, and it can be bought online or in stores from Vodafone. Vodafone will announce later tarrifs for 3G on the PSV. Sony have confirmed the PSV won't be locked to Vodafone, other networks can be used. the reason for choosing Vodafone, according to Sony, is because
"we have fully tested PS
Vita’s features on their service and therefore can assure a great
3G service right from the off. We haven’t tested with other
providers’ services and therefore can’t give the same quality
assurances."
Sony have announced gamers who connect to Vodafone with their PSV will get a voucher to download Wipeout 2048 from the PSN For free.
