Step into the Shoes of Real-Life Heroes Including Astronauts, Firefighters, and Doctors; First Two Titles To Launch This August
EDISON, N.J., May 19, 2009 - Majesco Entertainment Company (NASDAQ: COOL), an innovative provider of video games for the mass market, today announced a series of aspirational Nintendo DS games under the brand name My Hero. In this new adventure simulation franchise, players experience firsthand the heroic acts of the role models they look up to--a daring astronaut, a courageous firefighter, and a life-saving doctor--by completing a variety of challenging missions relating to each profession. My Hero: Astronaut and My Hero: Firefighter are expected to launch in August, while My Hero: Doctor will release this December. Produced by Game Life, each of the My Hero brand games has a suggested retail price of only $19.99.
"Every generation has its own champions, but certain professions, by their very nature, consistently produce the real-life heroes that youth always look up to," said Gui Karyo, Executive Vice President of Operations for Majesco. "Majesco's new My Hero product line lets players experience what it's like to be the brave and committed role models they admire within a fun, Touch Screen adventure format."
My Hero: Astronaut
In My Hero: Astronaut, players take on the role of a new recruit in the United States of West on a quest to lead their team to victory by conquering space first before their rivals do. On an expedition to Mars, players will pilot a Space Rover, Space Shuttle, and Lunar Lander as they blast off through over 40 different missions. Activities include landing on a space station, repairing satellites, destroying meteors on a collision course with Earth, and much more. For every mission successfully completed, players also earn medals and receive special gameplay bonuses.
My Hero: Firefighter
The Nintendo DS stylus becomes a hose, axe and extendable ladder in My Hero: Firefighter. Players must drive fire engines swiftly and safely through crowded city streets and react quickly to house fires, chemical explosions, and forest fires in 13 hazardous missions. By putting out raging fires and courageously saving people and animals, players earn awards for their bravery, move up the ranks to Captain, and acquire upgraded trucks and equipment. Players also learn real fire safety tips and how to react appropriately in dangerous situations.
My Hero: Doctor
In My Hero: Doctor, players take on the role of a doctor's apprentice as they manage 10 major medical emergencies by utilizing the microphone and stylus as an all-in-one medical tool. Players will treat and cure patients by using real medical equipment to help scan for fractures, inject medication, and apply a defibrillator. By successfully maneuvering the ambulance around obstacles on their way to aiding the sick and saving lives, players unlock upgrades and earn awards as they progress in their medical career.

Press release
SANTA MONICA, Calif., May 19, 2009 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- Activision Publishing (Nasdaq: ATVI) is set to revolutionize the racing genre with the debut of Bizarre Creations' newest project, Blur(TM) -- the ultimate wheel-to-wheel racing action experience.
The game drops players into heart-pumping, electrified racing action with 20 cars on a track all targeting the finish line and battling each other as they trade paint and collect intense power-ups, including the ability to blast other cars out of the way with huge bursts of energy, boost their speed, and more.
While controlling photo realistic cars, gamers can use offensive and defensive attacks as they battle for the lead and careen through real-world track locations ranging from L.A. and San Francisco to the streets of Hackney, UK and the treacherous roads of Barcelona, Spain.
"We did our homework and saw a huge opportunity to move beyond traditional racers and create a game completely focused on making racing 'fun' again," said Martyn Chudley, Creative Director, Bizarre Creations. "Blur delivers a new style of racing experience for all gamers, regardless of their experience, skill or genre preferences. Everything the player does, both in their cars and with their cars, is a dramatic adrenaline rush; it's a real blast!"
"We know that racing can be fun for everyone, and we are excited to enter this genre with a game that keeps players in the pack and combines fun with intense racing battles," said Maria Stipp, EVP and GM of Owned Properties, Activision Publishing. "Bizarre Creations is one of the most creative studios in the industry with a rich heritage of top-rated racing games and we are excited to partner with them on Blur, which is set to break the mold of traditional racing games."
Beyond the action-packed racing filled with fast curves, sneaky alternate routes, hair-raising jumps and fully realized damage models that provide for spectacular crashes, Blur's narrative is presented through Bizarre's innovative new community-based interface, reaching far beyond the game itself. This unique story-driving social network evolves dynamically as players compete in different races, make new friends, rivals and fans, and connect with other racers both in-game and in real life.
Looking beyond Blur's single player story, gamers can engage in competitive and team-based multiplayer races with up to 20 players online, or on a single console via 4-player split-screen. Bizarre is especially excited to introduce Blur's original social gaming experience - Custom Groups, where anyone can create unique multiplayer modes based on their favorite ways to play the game. These new modes are immediately shared through Blur's social network, expanding the game in ways that are only limited by the gaming community's creativity.
Blur is planned for release this fall for the Xbox 360(R) video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PLAYSTATION(R)3 computer entertainment system, and the PC, and is currently rated "RP" (Rating Pending) by the ESRB.

EA - Robot Chicken Writers Team Up with Spore Galatic Adventures for Hysterical Downloadable Adventures at the games launch - Press release
These adventures offer the players a variety of absurd missions with a host of interesting characters and situations.
Press Release
Maxis Teams with Adult Swim's Robot Chicken Writers to Create Hysterical Adventures for Spore Galactic Adventures Available at Launch
Guildford, UK – May 19, 2009 – What do planetary rest stops, man cannons, and banana monkey wars all have in common? They’re all elements of Adventures created by the Robot Chicken writers exclusively for Spore™ Galactic Adventures, the highly-anticipated expansion pack for the critically acclaimed videogame, Spore. Maxis™, an Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) studio, today announced that the Adventures created by writers from this outrageously funny, Emmy award-winning TV show will be available as free downloadable content when the game launches June 23.
The campaign was conceptualized by Robot Chicken co-creators Seth Green and Matt Senreich and executed by the writing team including Matt Beans, Doug Goldstein, Mike Fasolo, Breckin Meyer, Dan Milano, Tom Root, Kevin Shinick, Hugh Sterbakov and Zeb Wells. With such a unique cast of imaginative characters, players can expect to experience missions with exploding poo, angry yetis, ruler yielding librarians and more!
“We’re big fans of Spore, so teaming up on Spore Galactic Adventures was a natural fit and so much fun for all the guys at Robot Chicken,” said Seth Green, co-creator of Robot Chicken. Co-creator Matt Senreich continued: "We're all gaming geeks, so when the Spore guys said they had an alluring proposition for us, how could we say no? Instead of creating absurd worlds with toys, this gave us the opportunity to create literally anything we wanted as gamers. Geek moment. We think that RC fans will love the pretty random and absurd adventures we created and we can't wait to goof around with the ones the fans create."
“Gamers and Adult Swim fans alike are going to absolutely love the hilarity found in the Robot Chicken missions created for Spore Galactic Adventures,” stated Kip Katsarelis, lead producer of Spore Galactic Adventures. “Our development team had a blast working with the guys and couldn’t stop laughing the entire time we were together. Their Adventures truly reflect the extent of their wild imaginations as well as how the in-game Adventure Creator tool can create almost any type of story imaginable. Players can only guess the absurdity and fun that will ensue.”
Spore Galactic Adventures adds a tremendous amount of variety and fun to the original Spore, allowing players to beam down to planets, play Maxis-created Adventures and create their own customized Adventures. Now players can get out of their spaceship and turn their creatures into legendary space captains, battling epic monsters in intergalactic arenas and fighting intense planet-side races along the way. In each mission, players earn experience to rank up their captain, gain game-changing items and accessories such as a Plasma Pulser and Swarm Magnet. Once the captains and Adventures are created, players can share go online to share with friends around the world at www.spore.com.
