Square Enix have released a new trailer for Final Fantasy XIII-2. this trailer uses in-game action to show how you tame monsters in the game and work with them. the monsters act like a third party member and each monster is a certain class, so a Cait Sith is a medic class for example. as these monsters are party members, by changing the Paradigm you can also change the monster your working with.
