doublesix Games have announced Strike Suit Zero for PC and the PS3 PSN. coming later in Q1 2012, Strike Suit Zero is a arcade space shooter where players control a transforming fighter called a “Strike Suit”. the game is set at the end of earths life, its about the be destroyed and you have to try and save it.

Guildford, UK - 9th August 2011 - doublesix games, the award-winning independent studio creator of Burn Zombie Burn!, today announces Strike Suit Zero; a unique arcade space shooter in which players will fly a transforming fighter - known as a “Strike Suit” - as they battle to save the Earth. Strike Suit Zero will be digitally released on the PC and game consoles in early 2012.
Strike Suit Zero is an action-packed arcade game set in the final hours of a future Earth. The clock is ticking; your planet is about to be destroyed and its only hope is the Strike Suit; an advanced, transforming spacecraft that empowers the player with ludicrous firepower and awesome abilities. Every second is precious; you’ll be forced to fight with fury, choose targets on instinct and make snap decisions that will not only affect the outcome of your mission but your path through the game and the ultimate destiny of seven billion lives.

Strike Suit Zero features a dazzling art style, high-speed zero gravity vehicular combat, branching-mission structure, ship designs from renowned Mechanical Design engineer Junji Okubo (Appleseed: Ex Machina, Steel Battalion) and music from award-winning sound designer Paul Ruskay (Homeworld), and will be presented to the press in the Business area at GamesCom 2011 in Cologne, Germany.

Temco Koei have released a couple of new gameplay videos for Champion Jockey: G1 Jockey & Gallop Racer. the first video shows the game being played with Kinect, with the second video showing the game being played with Move. both videos show single player and 2 player multiplayer. the game will also be available on the Wii.
EA have announced they are bringing The Sims to Facebook in The Sims Social. coming out later this summer in 5 languages, The Sims Social allows people to create a Sim, a place for your Sim to Live, and lets you interact with your friends Sims and their houses. these relationships you create can either be good or bad. the first video has some of the developers talking about the game whilst the second video focuses on the good or bad in-game relationships between Sims.

Neverrealm studios have released a new story trailer for Mortal Kombat. this trailer reveals the Mortal Kombat history for Freddy Krueger. it dips into his back story from the movies but makes it relevant to the game.
Sony have announced Firmware 3.70. at the time of writing this news, the firmware was out in the UK. this is a fairly significant update to the PS3 that brings several improvements and new features.
The PSN Store will be revised with new features added. the picture above shows the new Recommend button. via this button, you will now be able to recommend PSN games to your PSN friends. the message you send will have a link to the item so friends can go straight to it from the message.
A New category will be added to the XMB. TV/Video Services will be where Netflix, Hulu PLUS, and VUDU, for USA gamers for example, will be located. from this section, you will also be able to download all of the video applications without going into the PSN Store. This category will have a folder called My Channels where you can access your downloaded apps.
The PS3 is also getting a 3D update. Java based special features on BluRay Movies will now be displayed in 3D. DTS-HD MA, DTS-HD HR decoding/bit stream output (or lossless audio) will be supported while playing Blu-ray 3D movies. 3D pictures on the PS3, in .MPO format, can now be viewed from the XMB and in the Photo Gallery App.
Playstation Plus also gets new features and enhancements. the [Automatic Download] setting will be re-named [Automatic Update]. Now, when your PS3 turns on for the Auto Update, it will automatically sync trophies. it will also upload chosen game saves to your Online Storage. to use this feature all you have to do is pick a game from the game section, press triangle, and choose to have its saves automatically uploaded to Online Storage.
