Curve Studios Announce Explodemon! Comes Out On The PSN On The 8th And 9th February For $9.99/£7.99/€9.99
Curve Studios have announced Explodemon! is coming out on the PS3 PSN in the USA on 8th February and across the EU on 9th February for $9.99/£7.99/€9.99.
Press Release
LONDON, ENGLAND – Hold on to your hairpieces, because retro-inspired action platforming masterpiece Explodemon will be exploding onto the PlayStation store on February 8th (SCEA territories) and February 9th (SCEE territories).
Not only that, but it’ll be available at the amazingly value-tastic price of US$9.99, 9.99 Euros and, for our fellow UK compatriots, £7.99.
Featuring 12 gigantic levels - each stuffed with secret rooms, puzzles and collectibles galore - and well over eight hours of gameplay, Explodemon is a perfect post-Christmas treat without any of the wallet-guilt. Which is, like, totally a thing that science says is real.
If you don’t know about it already – and, if so, consider yourself chastised – Explodemon is a high-octane explosive action platformer for PlayStation 3, distributed exclusively through the PlayStation Store.
Influenced by classic Japanese games from the golden era of the SNES, players use Explodemon’s self-destructive nature to combat enemies and fly through the air, all the while solving a huge variety of physics-based puzzles (and, naturally, causing incalculable collateral damage).
When the peaceful planet of Nibia is attacked by the malicious Vortex forces, the fate of the star system is thrust into the one pair of hands it shouldn’t be: the malfunctioning Guardian robot Explodemon. His comic quest to repel the onslaught and restore peace will take him across three distinct planets over twelve levels, with new abilities and gameplay mechanics introduced throughout.
Explodemon is rated E by the ESRB, 7+ by PEGI (6+ in Portugal), 12 in Germany and G in Australia/New Zealand.
Make sure to follow Curve Studios on Twitter - @curvestudios, natch– for the latest up-to-the-minute information and competitions to win free copies. Also, don’t forget that wallpapers and avatars are available on the PlayStation Store now!

Press Release
The upcoming Pokémon™ Black Version and Pokémon White Version games for the Nintendo DS™ family of systems feature more than 150 never-before-seen-Pokémon™. No matter which version players choose, they're sure to have fun with an array of expanded features for taking their Pokémon into battle, either in the game's main adventure, or head-to-head against friends.
Triple Battles debut in Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version, giving players more ways than ever to battle their customized team of Pokémon. Conducted in three-on-three format, Triple Battles introduce even more strategy to the game's already deep battle system. Depending on a Pokémon's placement in the battle lineup, it will only be able to attack certain Pokémon from an opponent's trio, providing an exciting new way to battle. For example, a Pokémon in the center of a player's lineup can attack any of its three opponents. However, a Pokémon positioned on the left or right of the formation can only attack the Pokémon in the middle of the opposing lineup, or directly in front of it.
The new C-Gear device in Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version gives players an easier way to battle with others, and multiple ways of interacting with friends. Using IR Communication that's built into the game card, players can quickly connect with friends to battle and trade Pokémon faster than ever before. Even exchanging Friend Codes is easier, with only a tap of the stylus needed to add them to your list. C-Gear also grants players a variety of game play and communication tools that utilize a local wireless connection and the Nintendo® Wi-Fi Connection service (broadband Internet access required). Players have the option to always utilize the C-Gear while playing, allowing for instant access to other players around them — even displaying what nearby players are doing in the game.
Another new feature in Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version is the Wi-Fi Random Matchup, which allows players to battle others from around the world over the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service without needing to exchange Friend Codes, opening up even more opportunities for players to test their teams in battle.
Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version will launch on March 6 and are now available for pre-order from major retailers throughout North America for a suggested retail price of $34.99 each. A deposit may be required for pre-orders. See individual retailers for details.

Ante Up: Texas Hold'em makes poker fun portable with realistic mechanics and a compelling story to keep you stimulated and playing for hours. The game is graphically superb, and the players are realistic portrayals of uncanny casino characters. Choices include an undercover vice cop who practices what he patrols and an aspiring actress with a daring streak. You'll find 12 characters in all. Best of all, the game is based on the authenticity of poker and the algorithms that produce a natural falling of the cards. You'll swear you're in Vegas as you face the pressure of making a call or daring a bluff while your money sweats it out on the table.

Press Release
Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has released the first shots of the next iteration of its hugely popular horror series, Silent Hill: Downpour. The asset issue marks the first confirmation of the new game’s suffix, while KONAMI has also announced that acclaimed composer, Daniel Licht (Dexter), is producing the game’s eerie soundtrack
Silent Hill: Downpour marks the series’ return to PlayStation®3 and Xbox 360, and brings a completely original storyline which follows Murphy Pendleton, a convict stranded in the foggy, malevolent world of Silent Hill. Pendleton begins the game lost and alone in the woods on the outskirts of the fabled town, when his prison transport bus crashes...
What happens after this is up to the player, as Silent Hill: Downpourreveals a new, expansive environment that is similarly claustrophobic and where the player is never truly alone. The new assets demonstrate the highly detailed environments the game enjoys, a sneak preview of the town and two new areas: The Diner and The Devil’s Pit.
In addition to the screens, KONAMI has also released a 90-second sample of the in-game music to whet the appetite. The music forms part of Daniel Licht’s chilling soundtrack, the composer better known for his work on Showtime’s acclaimed serial killer drama, Dexter.
