This Star Trek videogame is set to come out before the upcoming Star Trek Movie, currently set to come out on 17th may.

Based on Paramount Pictures’ classic film, Top Gun: Hard Lock is set in the present day with a brand new story line and new wave of elite naval aviators fresh out of the Top Gun academy. In development under license from Paramount Digital Entertainment, Top Gun: Hard Lock is aerial dog-fighting at jet speeds and tailgating MiGs at Mach 2, while offering a unique “Hard lock” mode where players perform air combat maneuvers that deliver an explosively satisfying visual payoff that brings them right into the action. Featuring the legendary F-14 Tomcat fighter jet and a number of additional licensed planes and weapons, and more than enough enemy MIGs to turn into smoldering rubble, the game is carefully mixed with just enough nostalgic references to remain true to its action movie roots.

Paramount Digital Entertainment have announced Star Trek for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. Star Trek is based on the 2009 movie and is currently in development at Digital Extremes. Star Trek is a co-op game staring Spock and Kirk. few details have been released about the game, though Paramount Digital Entertainment will show a first look of the game at this years E3.

Los Angeles, CA – June 3, 2011 – Paramount Digital Entertainment confirmed today that Star Trek™ will be coming to the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Windows PC in summer 2012. With an original story and unprecedented co-op experience, the game casts players as Kirk and Spock for the first time ever.
The game, which continues the adventure that director and producer J.J. Abrams envisioned with Star Trek (2009), boasts a stand alone story filled with action-packed combat as Kirk and Spock must work together to stop a legendary enemy race bent on conquering the galaxy.
“Star Trek challenges the boundaries of co-op gameplay with a galactic adventure that gamers and fans have never experienced,” said Tom Lesinski, President of Paramount Digital Entertainment. “Working closely with the Star Trek filmmaking team throughout development, the game is sure to deliver AAA production values, a wide variety of gameplay and all the action you would expect from the hit franchise. Star Trek features an original story by BAFTA award winner and God of War writer, Marianne Krawczyk, in collaboration with the writer/producers of the new Star Trek films, Bob Orci and Alex Kurtzman.
The game is under development by Digital Extremes (Bioshock 2, Unreal Tournament, Dark Sector, The Darkness II), working closely with Bad Robot, K/O Paper Products and Damon Lindelof and published by Paramount Digital Entertainment through a license with CBS Consumer Products. Star Trek will be available in stores 2012.

Paramount Digital Entertainment joined with the US Navy to premier the new PlayStation Network Game, Top Gun, at the 23rd annual New York Fleet Week. Whilst the parade of ships was docked in the New York Harbour, Navy personnel and visiting civilians were treated to a first look at the new Top Gun video game aboard the US navy vessel, the USS Iwo Jima.
PlayStation 3 kiosks were setup inside the ship so that the 2,800-strong crew could try out the game. Those sailors were treated to a screening of the classic Paramount Pictures “Top Gun” movie in the vessel’s massive hangar bay.

The game lets you drive as modern NASCAR drivers, like Jimmie Johnson, as well as some of the drivers from Days Of Thunder, in this Single player and multiplayer NASCAR racing game.
Days of Thunder: NASCAR Edition puts you as a rookie driver in Rowdy Burns tean where you'll be coached by Rowdy Burns in things including upgrading your car, the pitlane, and more. Days of Thunder: NASCAR Edition also comes with 12 NASCAR tracks, including Daytona and Talladega. As players race to the top of the scoreboard, they will unlock car customization options and bonus tracks. Players' driving styles will be monitored by an in-game tracking system, allowing players to be approached by like-minded sponsors.
In Days of Thunder: NASCAR Edition, up to 12 people can race to the finish online, log the fastest times on the leader boards, or push themselves to the limit in single-player. There are four different modes – Quick Race, Time Trial, Career, with circuits of varying difficulty, and Derby Mode, where players are encouraged to deal as much damage as they can.
