EA Announce 5 New Titles For The iPad Are Out Now

EA Has announced that Need For Speed Shift has gone gold and will be released in N.America on November 3rd. the game is set to come out in Europe on November 6th.

Guildford, UK – August 27, 2009 – Electronic Arts has teamed up with retailer GAME to create the ultimate videogame driving challenge: the Need For Speed™ SHIFT UK Championships. Starting on August 28, gamers will be able to put their racing skills to the test as they compete in GAME stores across the UK to post the fastest lap times on new video game Need for Speed SHIFT, the latest edition of EA Games’ renowned Need for Speed series.
Heats will take place at 49 GAME stores, with the fastest winners going on to face off in a final set of time trials to be held at Thorpe Park, Surrey, on September 26th.
The 49 finalists will then compete to set a quick lap time worthy of being crowned the Need for Speed SHIFT UK Champion, with the winner receiving the keys to a brand new Nissan 350Z GT sports car. There will also be a host of other spot prizes for participants in individual stores.

Need For Speed Nitro to Feature Car Designs And Artwork From tokidoki, Upper Playground and i am 8-bit.
EA Have announced that okidoki, Upper Playground and i am 8-bit have provided artwork and car designs. the variety of vehicles that have custom skins made for them include the Lamborghini Gallardo, Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger R/T, Volkswagen Type 2 and Subaru Impreza WRX.
As Well as their own custom skins, they have also added over 140 stylistic brushes to the car customisation.

EA - Need For Speed Shift Driver Profiles Detailed - Press Release
The Driver Profile runs through the single player and multiplayer games that is unique to each player as it's based on the way the player plays the game. It measures the players driving personality, basically their driving style, the players success, whether they go for wins or positions, and the badges earned, these relate to "achievements" that can be obtained during a race.

Driver profile is a tailor-made career mode based on four key game play components:

The spectacular SHIFT cover car is one of the fastest, most powerful cars ever to be featured in a Need for Speed game. Designed to deliver a true drivers experience, SHIFT boasts legendary cars from the past 35 years, each one modeled to deliver an incredible sense of speed and realism.
At Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles, gamers will also get a first look at a wide spectrum of the seminal performance machines in the game, including classic cars like the 1972 Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R, renowned tuners like 1995 Mazda RX-7, and ultra-exclusive exotic cars like the 2007 Lamborghini Reventón.
