Buena Park, Calif., (February 20,
2013) – GungHo Online Entertainment America, a
multiplatform publisher for the online gaming community, is pleased
to announce today the company has released the visceral action RPG
hack and slash title, Ragnarok Odyssey, in Europe,
Australia and New Zealand exclusively on the PlayStation®Vita
handheld entertainment system as a digital download on the
PlayStation®Network for a price of €29.99. Based on
Norse-mythology, Ragnarok Odyssey tells its own story set
within the popularRagnarok Online universe, and provides
hand-held players with an all-new high-octane action RPG experience
that is equally rewarding as a single player or multiplayer
adventure. To celebrate today’s release of Ragnarok Odyssey,
GungHo Online Entertainment America has also premiered an all new
trailer.
Players begin their journey in Ragnarok Odyssey by first creating a unique character from a diverse selection of customizable visual elements consisting of over 20,000 possible combination variants. After applying physical features, players will then select their character’s play style from a stable of six diverse job classes, including the Sword Warrior, Mage, Assassin, Hunter, Cleric and menacing Hammersmith. Upon entering the game’s open-world environment, players will be tasked with exploring a realm filled with heavy action, in which giants and humans remain in constant conflict with each other.
Ragnarok Odyssey features a robust multiplayer mode -- players aren’t forced to go their journey alone, and are encouraged to recruit up to four friends to get together for chaotic and action-packed ad-hoc and online cooperative play. When a particularly difficult boss shows up, players can always count on their friends to help them through a tough fight.
Ragnarok Odyssey was developed by Game Arts together with GungHo Online Entertainment in Japan and is now available for download at a price of €29.99 on the PlayStation Network in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand courtesy of GungHo Online Entertainment America.. The game is rated PEGI 12 in Europe and PG in Australia and New Zealand.
