EA Reveal Dead Space Ignition, A Downloadable Prequel To Dead Space 2
EA Have revealed Dead Space Ignition, a downloadable prequel game from Ignition Entertainment that tells the story of the initial Necromorph outbreak on the Sprawl. Dead Space Ignition was written by Antony Johnston, the author who wrote the 6-book Dead Space comic series that came out in 2008. Dead Space Ignition is set to come out on both the PSN and XBLA this fall.
Steve Papoutsis, Executive Producer on the Dead Space franchise, has revealed that Dead Space Ignition is just one of the many upcoming game extensions they have planned for Dead Space 2. Dead Space Ignition is a interactive comic-style game that also has 3 Mini-Games to play in order to survive, Hardware Crack, Trace Route and System Override.
Dead Space Ignition does allow players to finish the game in multiple ways as it as a “Choose Your Own Adventure” type narrative. in all there are 4 unique endings to the game, and for every ending you complete you unlock you will be awarded with in-game items for Dead Space 2, like an exclusive suit for Isaac Clarke, that can be used when it comes out on 25th January 2011.

Dead Space Ignition combines an interactive comic-style story with three unique hacking mini games; Hardware Crack, Trace Route and System Override. I was pretty excited about that announcement, but just in general I'm excited by all Dead Space news at the moment. I thought the first game was excellent.
