EA Have announced Online Pass for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 EA Sports Games. Online Pass is a 1 time use code, that will come with all new EA Sports Games that have an online component, that you will have to enter to play the game online. the first game to come Online Pass is Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 11, you will need to enter the Online Pass code that comes with the game to play it online. For those who buy a game used, and therefore have bought a game without a Online Pass Code, you can buy a new Online Pass Code for $10, prices for other countries to be revealed later.
It is unclear if Online Pass will come to the Nintendo Wii. EA say that those who use the Online Pass will gain access to features and bonus content as well as the standard online services.

Retailer GameStop (NYSE: GME) has shown support of EA’s digital strategy by selling Sony PlayStation Network cards and Xbox Live Microsoft Points cards with the purchase of new and used EA titles. “GameStop is excited to partner with such a forward-thinking publisher as Electronic Arts,” said Dan DeMatteo, Chief Executive Officer of GameStop Corp. “This relationship allows us to capitalize on our investments to market and sell downloadable content online, as well as through our network of stores worldwide.”
