THQ today announces that television personality Konnie Huq will be fronting the “Your Hero” campaign this is currently running to find the best budding young artists in the UK.
This nationwide initiative invites children from across the UK to design their own heroes, to celebrate the upcoming launch of Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter, the innovative new drawing software for Nintendo DS & Wii. Entrants will have the chance to win art supplies for their school as well as the unique opportunity to have their designs displayed on a billboard near their home or school.
The “Your Hero” promotion centers around an online hub (www.drawyourhero.com), where visitors can create their own heroes using the online drawing tool before entering them into the promotion and sharing them with friends through the website’s gallery. Ten regional winners will be selected and see their designs brought to life in their local town via a billboard, win art supplies for their school and copy of the game for themselves.
An overall national winner will be selected from the ten regional winners by Konnie in October and will have their design unveiled to the world at a secret London event as well as bagging a host of exclusive prizes.
Konnie commented:
“Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter is a fantastic new videogame that children of all ages will enjoy playing. Not only does this title allow their imaginations to run wild, but it also fosters their creativity, allowing them to draw their own characters and bring them to life in the game. The game is great fun and I am delighted to be involved in this campaign!”
