Insomniac Reveal A New Multiplayer Map For Resistance 3 Set In Alice Springs Australia

Insomniac have revealed a new multiplayer map in Resistance 3. this new map is set in Australia in the town of Alice Springs. this is a 16 player multiplayer map.



Insomniac have provided some history for why there's a map set in Australia:
The Land Down Under has always had an interesting place in the lore of Resistance, being the site of a gigantic refugee camp called Avalon One, and for years remaining a safe haven even as Europe fell. Unfortunately, the enormous amount of refugees strained food supplies, and Civil War erupted in 1952. Eventually, as with everywhere else on the planet, the Chimera arrived. Now the remnants of civilization on the continent fight back in one of the most inhospitable climates to the Chimeran menace.

Insomniac Have Released A Behind The Scenes Look At Resistance 3 Multiplayer Showing Abilities

Insomniac have released a new behind the scenes look at Resistance 3. this video focuses on the games mutliplayer, specifically on the passive and active abilities in the game. the video uses in-game action to show some of these in action and they discuss the various ways you can upgrade them. they also discuss how you can use these abilities to help customise your character to you, rather than using generic stuff.

Insomniac Announce Resistance 3 Has Gone Gold; Has Day 1 Patch; Comes With Demos,Trailers, And Music Videos On Disc

Insomniac have announced Resistance 3 has gone gold and is set to make it's 6th September release date. there will also be a day 1 patch for the game that brings fixes and tweaks to the game, possibly with a focus on multiplayer. With this announcement, Insomniac have also released a new trailer for the game revealing more of the games story, characters, and locations.



Insomniac have revealed that included with Resistance 3, on the disc, will be Demos for Killzone 3 and MotorStorm Apocalypse in both 2D and 3D. there's also a 2D demo for inFamous 2. there are trailers and developer video's for UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception, Starhawk, God of War: Origins, and SOCOM 4. there is also content from Sony Pictures and Sony Music including trailers and music videos.

In this video, the devs talk about bringing back the weapon wheel, last seen in Resistance 1, and creating new weapons. they also talk about how knowledge from their ratchet games has helped with Resistance 3, using weapons as an example.

Insomniac Have Released A E3 Trailer For Resistance 3

Insomniac have released a new trailer for Resistance 3. this is an E3 trailer that uses a mix of cinematics and in-game action to tell what happened before Resistance 3 and what is going to happen. some locations in the trailer have previously been shown, but much of the in-game action is new, as is the opening cinematic.

Insomniac Announce The UK/EU Release Dates For Resistance 3 And Detail Bonuses And Special Editions

Insomniac have announced the UK and EU release dates for Resistance 3. The USA release date had previously been confirmed as 6th September, and now they reveal the game is coming out in the UK on 9th September and the rest of the EU on 7th September.

Insomniac have also announced two additional versions of the game. there will be a Special Edition that comes with the original game in a steel book case. the game will also come with a voucher code for all the pre-order items listed below. The disc will be a designed to look like a Vinyl, even with grooves.

The Resistance 3 Survivor Edition comes with all the items in the Special Edition as well as Canvas Satchel, a Chimera Firing Range Target, Toy Soldiers, Joseph Capelli’s Journal, a SRPA hip flask, and SRPA playing cards

Insomniac have detailed the pre-order bonuses for Resistance 3. both the Special and Survivor editions will come will all the pre-order bonuses shown below. Insomniac have detailed which USA Stores get which piece of pre-order bonus. Wall-Mart gets 5 custom name titles.

Other USA retailers will get SRPA Black Ops skins for use in multiplayer.

Amazon will get the No. 60 Air Fuel Grenade.

GameStop will get a necklace with 2 Chimera teeth.

Best Buy will get a Lt. Nathan Hale Infected Multiplayer Skin.
