Activision Have Announced They And Infinity Ward Have Reached A Settlement Out Of Court

Activision have announced they and Infinity Ward have settled their court case out of court. however, the terms of this settlement are confidential. they do reveal that they have made a one of charge due to the settlement, in other words they have paid out some money but expect to do it this one time.

This court case arose when Jason West and Vince Zampella, former heads of Infinity Ward, sued Activision for wrongful termination, so Activision could avoid paying out millions of bonuses due to sales of Modern Warfare 2.

Activision Blizzard Announces Settlement Of Infinity Ward Litigation

SANTA MONICA, Calif., May 31, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Activision Blizzard, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) today announced that all parties to the litigation have reached a settlement of the dispute, the terms of which are strictly confidential.  

The company does not believe that the incremental one-time charges related to the settlement will result in a material impact on its GAAP or non-GAAP earnings per share outlook for the current quarter or the calendar year, due to stronger-than-expected operating performance in the current quarter.
