Activision Have Released The Debut Trailer For Call Of Duty: Black Ops

Activision have released the debut trailer for Call Of Duty: Black Ops. The previous trailer was the debut teaser trailer, that briefly showed hints of Black Ops. This trailer greatly expands on the teaser trailer by showing alot of in-game action. The trailer shows numerous locations, from Arctic type areas, Jungle, Built up areas, and even a Spacecraft launch Pad. The trailer is heavy on action, either from a helicopter, general shooting, and abseiling down a building. there also appears to be some sneaking around. there is alot more to see in the trailer than this brief overview so feel free to watch it a few times.

Press Release

REDMOND, Wash., May 19, 2010 - Launching in the United States on July 11, DRAGON QUEST® IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies™ for the Nintendo DS™ family of systems lets players enjoy an adventure that is entirely their own, yet can be shared with others anywhere, anytime. Developed by Square Enix Co., Ltd., this game has already become a phenomenon with players of all ages and backgrounds in Japan, with more than 4.2 million units sold.

Before setting off on their adventure, players can create their own heroes, deciding how they would like their face, hair and clothing to look. As the story unfolds, players become stronger, smarter and more powerful, and can customize companions who join their group. Players will have fun discovering more than 1,000 pieces of clothing, armor, weapons and other items that will provide them with a unique appearance and special abilities. Players can also change the class of their character at any time, choosing from a variety of vocations that will affect their abilities and strengths in the game.

In DRAGON QUEST IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies, players begin their adventure as a city guardian who is sent to retrieve a sacred tree's fruits, which have the power to grant wishes. Players travel the world, conquer fearsome monsters and unravel an epic storyline. During their journey, players will encounter mighty opponents in fast-paced battles, and also interact with a colorful cast of characters.

DRAGON QUEST IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies contains special modes that let players share their adventure with others, allowing up to four players to team up via a local wireless connection and experience the fun of tackling challenging monsters and dungeons cooperatively with their own characters. Players can even leave the game active in their backpacks, pockets or purses and still interact with other players via an interactive "Tag Mode." Information about players' characters can be wirelessly transmitted to others, and treasure maps and customized greetings can be exchanged automatically by players who come within range of one another when their games are set to Tag Mode.

Players looking to enjoy a variety of different game activities can take on special side quests. Some of these quests will be earned by progressing through the game, while additional quests will be made available for free download for players with broadband Internet access after the game launches, providing hours of additional content for virtual adventurers to enjoy either on their own or with friends. Some downloadable quests will continue the main storyline of the game, while others offer standalone missions.

"DRAGON QUEST IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies is one of the biggest games ever to hit Nintendo DS, with an incredible amount of content for every kind of player to enjoy," said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "This new game has all of the elements of an instant classic: customization options, a great story, and the ability to share a nearly limitless experience with friends."

Press Release

Cannes, 18th May 2010: Sony Computer Entertainment Europe [SCEE] has announced a partnership with leading online film library MUBI, to bring to PlayStation®3 (PS3™) a new service that will break open the world of independent, international and classic cinema, and introduce PS3 owners to movies outside the mainstream. MUBI will be a free, downloadable application that gives PS3 owners the key to the ever-expanding film library of MUBI - an incredible online ‘cinemateque’ for movie lovers, packed to the rafters with acclaimed independent, foreign and classic films to stream on demand.

This autumn, PS3 users will have access to a treasure trove of celluloid curated by experts - so that even non-experts can enjoy what might otherwise take a lifetime to discover. MUBI will offer more than 300 films at launch from directors from Audiard to Zeferelli; and they’re all going to be available to stream directly to your PS3. You’ll get to discover movies you never dreamed about, watch your choice of films whenever you like, and talk about the ones you love with your friends.

So how will it all work? First, you download the free MUBI application from PlayStation®Store. Then, you open it up and start watching – it’s really that easy. Next, you look around in amazement. You find festival gems, classics, famous independent releases and art-house flicks. You discover the work of world-famous directors like the Coen Brothers and Tarantino alongside Latin American directors and restored shorts from the most obscure of archives. You’ll spot free-to-watch movies alongside pay-per-view movies that you can rent for a week – and you’ll be tempted by the thought of an all-you-can-watch monthly subscription. You find exclusive online premieres, Oscar-winners, Palme D’Or winners, collaborations with international film festivals, and so many other choices you might not know where to start. But MUBI offers a whole community of film loving fans so that help is always at hand

Joining SCEE President Andrew House in Cannes at the unveiling of the new service, MUBI founder Efe Çakarel said: “MUBI is the fastest growing online destination for lovers of independent, foreign and classic film - and it is amazing how many people that covers.
Our partnership with PlayStation® brings online cinema to TV screens in homes around the world giving PlayStation owners a whole new world of entertainment to explore. And discovery couldn’t be more fun - from finding out about the films behind the latest buzz at Cannes, to taking the film recommendation of MUBI members like Martin Scorsese.”

Andrew House welcomed MUBI to PlayStation adding: “PlayStation is about great entertainment, from games to content, delivered straight to the living room or enjoyed on the go. Today this ranges from VidZone, the free on demand service music service, through to PlayTV where you can watch, record and rewind live TV at your leisure. MUBI offers the perfect independent counterpoise to our box-office blockbuster, hi-def, video delivery service, catering for the tastes of an ever broader customer base. Add in PS3’s DVD and Blu-ray disc player and we have the perfect ticket for film lovers.”

This is cinema for cinema lovers – a movie service that takes you beyond the mainstream and deep into thousands of views of our world through different lenses – all streamed straight to your PS3 to turn your living room into your own private cinema. MUBI for PS3 will be launched this autumn initially in the UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Iberia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux, Nordic countries, Australia and New Zealand. Prepare to dim your lights and enjoy the main feature.

The first video shows of Zoroarks ability, Illusion, and the way to capture it is to weaken it and wait for it to show its true form. You can trade over the shiny Entei, Suicune, or Raikou from the the Ruler of Illusions: Zoroark movie ticket preorders, Japan only at present, to battle a Level 25 Zoroark. The Second video shows the new starter Pokémon fighting each other and also shows off Hiun City, revealing that people talk to you as you walk past them and the new viewing angle. People also appear to move out of your way and appear more animated in the game world.

Both videos reveal the new battle movements. The videos show that both Pokémon on screen move around, and the camera focuses on your Pokémon as he makes an attack. the backgrounds also appear to change depending on the type of move you use, Razor Leaf makes the background go green for example. There appear to be different movements for doing an attack, receiving an attack, and doing nothing on the screen.

What Have You Played This Week?

I played a fair bit this week, unfortunately not finishing any of them. It was a fairly busy week but I still hope to finish IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey so I can send that back to Swapgame and get something new in return.

Football Manager 10 – PC – I have had issues with my Annan save since the 10.3 update game out...and it finally crashed. I've started a new game with San Marino, the club not the country.

Rocket Knight – Demo - PS3 – I've never played Rocket Knight game before so I was interested in giving this a go. Unfortunately, I don't have the money to buy the game out right, but I gave the demo a go. The demo is a good size, letting you play a few stages which, themselves, provide a variety of different gameplay mechanics. The graphics look good and stylised, the controls are simple and responsive. The demo is well worth a try and it does feel like a 16Bit style platformer which is very refreshing.

IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey – PS3 – i've nearly finished the campaign mode, but still have plenty of single missions to work through. As you progress in the game, it becomes clear how each of the planes handle differently and it can keep you on your toes. The campaign mode is somewhat varied and it doesn't get dull as each part of the campaign mode is short. Still found no one online, but not totally disappointed. I'll finish the campaign mode, but not sure if i'm going to work my way through all the missions.

Halo Reach – Beta – Xbox 360 – i've played alittle more. Still would prefer to play the single player, but this will do until then.

Bookworm Adventures – PC – still playing this now and then. Its a good little time waster.

what have you been playing this week? feel free to add your weeks gaming selection in the comments, or you can comment on the game i played this week.
