Microsoft Announce Minecraft On XBLA Has Sold Over 1 Million Worldwide In less Than A Week

Microsoft have announced the XBLA version of Minecraft has now sold over 1 Million units globally in less than a week. the game had already beaten XBLA sales records by selling more than any other XBLA in its first day on sale, no specific numbers were revealed but they do say there were over 400,000 people on the leaderboards.

Nintendo Announce Pikmin 2 And Mario Power Tennis Join Nintendo Selects On The Wii, Out 10th June For $19.99

Nintendo have announced 2 new Nintendo Select titles are coming to the USA. on 10th June, both Pikmin 2 and Mario Power Tennis will be released for $19.99. both games have been enhanced with Wii controls, in Mario Power Tennis you can use the WiiMote as a tennis racquet and Pikmin 2 has also been optimised with Wii Controls.

Nintendo have also announced the Wii games Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Donkey Kong Country Returns will have their prices reduced to $29.99. Super Smash Bros. Brawl has sold over 5.5 million in the USA whilst Donkey Kong Country Returns has sold over 2.5 Million.

Sony and the BBC have announced Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock is set to come out across the UK on the PS3 PSN on 23rd May, and across the UK at retail on 25th May. no new information has been revealed, but i have included the trailer for the game below.

Sony have released a new behind the scenes look at Sorcery. this video focuses on the music in the game. the team talk about the Celtic inspired score but also how they got the composer to use other instruments and do something different with the Celtic inspiration.. the video features in-game action with some of the score, showing how the music can let the player know there's danger ahead.

CyberConnect2 have released a video of their president Hiroshi Matsuyama running the Paris Marathon. the video features Hiroshi Matsuyama dressed up as Naruto talking about why he's doing it, how he's going to do it, and reaction from him during the Marathon. his final position isn't revealed in this video so we may see more fun videos from him soon.

Different Tune Reveal Derrick The Deathfin, An Upcoiming PS3 PSN Game Coming Out This Summer

Different Tuna have revealed their upcoming PSN game for the PS3 is Derrick The Deathfin. coming this summer, Derrick The Deathfin sees you playing as Derrick as he makes he way across 32 levels, set in 11 environments across 4 continents, as he goes on a rampage of destruction following the death of his parents.

The game has a papercraft look that street artist Ronzo helped create. all the characters and environments are based on real world papercraft which was modelled before being photographed and recreated as a 3D model in the game. the picture below shows a real world model of Derrick. the trailer below shows the game in action.

Sniper Elite V2 holds onto the number 1 spot this week with FIFA Street moving up into 2 and FIFA 12 holding 3. the highest new entry this week is the PS3 exclusive Starhawk coming in at number 17. it was a very quiet chart this week with only a couple of games moving around, but at the bottom we did see Football Manager 2012 reappearing at 18 and Forza Motorsport 4 at 20.
