Nintendo Have Revealed The Boxart For Fire Emblem: Awakening, Detail DLC SpotPass And StreetPass


Nintendo have revealed more information about Fire Emblem: Awakening, which comes up on the 4th February on the 3DS. first up is the rather cool boxart which can be seen above. They have confirmed that DLC is coming to the game. the first bit of DLC will be out the same day as the game and that will be free for a limited time.further DLC coming out later. this DLC will consist of maps, new class types, skills, playable characters and new storylines. the DLC can only be accessed once the fifth mission of the game has been completed via the Outrealm Gates in-game.

SpotPass will be used to distribute free DLC content to owners. the first one will come during the launch period and this SpotPass DLC will consist of New Maps, New Storylines, Characters and Items. StreetPass will let players exchange certain game data with each other. there is also StreetPass Team where you can choose 10 units to create a team, edit the team name and create a custom message the other player will see. these teams will appear on your map, you can then choose to buy the items/weapons the opposing team is using and buy the team leader with gold or you can choose to battle that team and if you win you can recruit the team leader for free.

A Demo For Fire Emblem: Awakening will come out on the eShop on 17th January. Fire Emblem: Awakening will be available to buy at retail and on the eShop when it comes out on 4th February.

Nintendo Announce The Wii U Has Sold Over 890,000 In The USA In 41 Days On Sale, Reveal Other Figures


Nintendo have revealed that in just 41 days, the Wii U has sold over 890,000 across the Wii U. whilst this is less that the Wii, Nintendo point out that the Wii U has generated revenue of more than $300 Million, which is more than the Wii had generated in the same time scale which was $270 Million (this is due to the higher price of the Wii U).

Other figures released by Nintendo include:
Wii U:
  • New Super Mario Bros. U has now sold more than 580,000 units, an attach rate of more than 65 percent.
Nintendo 3DS:
  • Nintendo 3DS sold more than 1.25 million units in December and has crossed 7.7 million units sold life to date.
  • New Super Mario Bros. 2 became the fourth Nintendo 3DS title to surpass 1 million units sold in the U.S., and has now sold more than 1.45 million units life to date.
  • Nintendo 3DS continues to outpace the historic sales rate of Nintendo DS.
Wii:
  • Wii sold nearly 475,000 units and crossed 40.8 million units sold life to date.
  • Ubisoft's Just Dance 3 became the 10th Wii title to sell more than 5 million units life to date.
Nintendo DS:
  • Nintendo DS sold nearly 470,000 units and crossed 53 million units sold life to date.

17 BIT have announced the release date for Skulls Of The Shogun. the game will be released worldwide on 30th January across XBLA on Xbox 360, Windows 8 PC, Microsoft Surface and Windows Phone. Skulls Of The Shogun features asynchronous multiplayer and cross platform across all its launch platforms.

Namco Bandai Announce Naruto Powerful Shippuden For The 3DS, Out 8th March


Namco Bandai have announced Naruto Powerful Shippuden for the 3DS. the game was developed by Inti Creates with support from Naruto Shippuden Ninja Storm devs CyberConnect2. the game is based of the Naruto Shippuden Japanese Anime Spin-off Rock Lee And His Ninja Pals and features an art style similar/inspired by that Anime.

The game features story lines from the Naruto Shippuden and Rock Lee And His Ninja Pals Anime. the game lets you play missions as either Naruto or Rock. there is also an Endless Battle Mode which lets you fight ninja's. other features include the ability to earn experience and level up your characters special attacks. the game also features appearances from Kakashi, Sakura, Gaara and more.
