EA Announce Drag Racing Is Coming To Need For Speed World

EA have announced that due to popular demand from the Community, Drag racing is making a return to the Need For Speed franchise in Need For Speed World. the game is a free to play racer and this update allows Drag racing with up to 6 drivers. New Drag Racing Mods have also been added to the game, these include:
  • Aero Drag Reduction – Improves aerodynamic properties on the car, improving overall performance in Drag races. This is exclusive to Drag Cars and cannot be won from Lucky Draw or Card Packs.
  • Launch Grip – Improves acceleration in Drag races by enhancing tire grip at race start. Can be purchased from the cash store or won from Lucky Draw & Card Packs.
  • Gear Ratio Enhancement – Increases the size of the RPM band required to hit a Perfect or Good Shift. Perfect Shifts give a small boost and the RPM range to hit gets smaller each gear. Can be purchased from the cash store or won from Lucky Draw & Card Packs.

EA Announce There Are 3 Million Need For Speed World Players And Detail Upcoming Day/Night Cycle And More

EA have announced that there are now over 3 million Need For Speed World Players. EA have also announced there are further enhancements coming to the game. Need For Speed World will be available in French, Russian, Spanish, and Polish. A new addition to the game will be the inclusion of a Day/Night cycle in the game. an advanced vehicle performance customisation tuning system is also being added.

EA Announce There Are Over 1 Million Registered Need For Speed World Players


EA have announced there are now over 1 million registered Need For Speed World players. EA have also announced that from today, all players will have full access to Need For Speed World for free. SpeedBoost items can still be bought to help speed up career progression, but the whole game can be played for free.

EA Announce Those Who Pre-Order Need For Speed World Can Play The Game From 20th July


EA have announced that players who have pre-ordered Need For Speed World Starter Pack will be able to play the game from 20th July. Those with the early access will also be able to reserve their drive names, earn double XP, and unlock exclusive cars. they will also have a VIP status permanently displayed above their name.

The Starter Pack Will Cost £14.99 and gives the player £14.99 worth of SpeedBoost, in-game currency, full access up to level 50, and power -ups.

EA Have annoucned that Need For Speed World is coming out on 20th July. This MMO Racing game will be able to be downloaded from world.needforspeed.com where players can download a free version of the game that lets you play up to level 10. a starter pack will be available that lets players race up to level 50, have $20 of SpeedBoost, and an assortment of power ups, and a limited edition vehicle, all for $20. Players who pre-order the game will get a 1 week headstart and will be able to play the game from 13th July with increased XP, get access to all beta events, and reserve their driver names.

EA Have Released A Developer Interview With Need For Speed World's Producer

EA have released a developer interview video with the producer behind the up coming summer game, Need For Speed World. In this interview, the games producer describes the games RPG elements, how they're tied to levelling up and unlocking new skills, and how the skills you've unlocked can be used strategically. Some of the games social aspects are mentioned, like the ability to create custom leader boards, and he also mentions that the game will be supported for the next few years via content updates.

EA Have Announced That The Need For Speed World Beta Has Begun

EA have announced that the upcoming PC MMO, Need For Speed World, is now in a closed Beta. over the next few months, Thousands of gamers will test Need For Speed World and you could be one of those. simply register at world.needforspeed.com for a chance to be in the Closed beta.

Need For Speed World is currently set for a summer release on PC. The game has over 150 Miles of roads to race along and a new power-up system, that has a deep RPG style progression. Cities from Need For Speed Most Wanted to Need For Speed Carbon have been added to the game.
