What Have You Played This Week?

Managed to play a few games this week but managed not to complete any of them, lol.

Football Manager 10 – PC – managed to survive my first season in Division 1 with Annan. Chairman is going to build a new stadium, better not get relegated cause the loans are huge.

Critter Crunch – PS3 – Played a lot more of the adventure mode. I've nearly completed it but it has gotten really tough. I managed to play some games online, there's not many people playing but those who are are great.

Uncharted 2 – PS3 – I got some more uncharted 2 Multiplayer done. Those trophies that came with the map pack are tough and are going to take a lot of work. There are loads of people still playing the many game modes in it.

Modern Warfare 2 – PS3 – I had hoped to go back and complete the game but failed. I only put in a couple of hours and from what I know, i've nearly completed it. I taking it slowly with the game, trying not to finish it in one sitting. I didn't play multiplayer or the other mode as the game isn't as good as I hoped. For me, the game is not where close to being as good as Killzone 2.

Warhawk – PS3 – I initially went in to see if there was still a community playing. And I was surprised to see how many people were playing it, so I just dived in. it feels old and it doesn't look that great any more, but the simplistic nature of the game make it very accessible and it was fun. Thankfully I have the map packs that came out as many of them were being used. I may return to the game a few times as it was fun.

what have you been playing this week? feel free to add your weeks gaming selection in the comments, or comment on my selection for this week?

Codemasters Announce Stuart Broad Will Feature On The International Cricket 2010 Cover

Codemasters have announced that Stuart Broad will be on the cover for International Cricket 2010. he will be appearing on both the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 boxart.

Boxart

Press Release

Thursday 8th April/... Today Codemasters® is proud to reveal that England star Stuart Broad will feature on the cover International Cricket 2010™, coming this summer for the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft®. To celebrate the announcement, Codemasters has today released the first gameplay video for International Cricket 2010, featuring Stuart Broad and other stars in action is available to view at www.codemasters.com/cricket.

Stuart Broad is the fast rising star of English cricket and set to lead the bowling attack in this summer’s fixtures against Pakistan, Australia and Bangladesh. A key member of England’s Ashes winning side of 2009, his man of the match performance against Australia at the Brit Oval saw him take 5 for 37 in the deciding test as he emerged as one of the world’s leading bowlers.

“It’s fantastic for me to follow in the footsteps of legends like Brian Lara and feature on the front of a Codemasters cricket game,” said England star Stuart Broad. “I’m a huge gamer so it’s exciting to be involved with Codemasters, who have always produced the most authentic and realistic cricket games. When I’m away with the team tour, playing games on our consoles is a great way to pass the time and enjoy some banter. I can’t wait to take on the rest of the lads - and beat them - in International Cricket 2010!”

“Stuart Broad has established himself as one of the most exciting players in world cricket and we’re delighted to sign him up to feature on the front of the pack,” added John Szoke, Producer, Codemasters.

Produced by Codemasters and developed by Trickstar Games, International Cricket 2010 steps up to the crease with a range of innovations and improvements including a new player and AI confidence system. In International Cricket 2010 as in real life, confidence is key to success. In the test format of the game, gamers must play themselves in as batsmen and build momentum as bowlers, improving their ability to play advanced shots and take wickets. In shorter formats of the game, confidence can be gained and lost much more quickly as players look to take advantage of the pressurised conditions.

Other key enhancements include ‘Action Cam’, the new camera that takes players right onto the pitch, and ‘Power Stick’ which gives 360° degree batting control to ensure International Cricket 2010 will deliver the most authentic interactive cricket experience ever.

Officially licensed by the England and Wales Cricket Board and Cricket Australia to feature official players, stadia and kits, International Cricket 2010 can be enjoyed in a wide range of game modes including new instant tournaments, full test series and quick-fire Twenty20 matches. Gamers can compete as any of the expanded roster of 16 nations at an improved selection of 21 stadia around the world, including Lord’s, the Home of Cricket.

Complete with local and online multiplayer, International Cricket 2010 launches this summer for Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION®3. For the latest news and screens, visitwww.codemasters.com/cricket.

BURBANK, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- Apr 08, 2010 Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announces F.E.A.R. 3, a heart-pounding paranormal horror first person shooter unleashing intense combat, compelling narrative and co-op play that evolves the franchise. F.E.A.R. 3 is set to release on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, and Windows PC in fall 2010.

Alma returns in F.E.A.R. 3 but this time her sons Point Man and Paxton Fettel introduce divergent co-op, giving players distinctly different abilities affecting their own play as well as the experience of their co-op partner. Gamers participate in single player or co-op modes as Point Man, a genetically enhanced super soldier originally introduced in F.E.A.R., or they can play cooperatively as his conniving brother Paxton Fettel, whose incredible telekinetic power has given him life beyond the grave. The game is developed by Day 1 Studios, developer of the original F.E.A.R. console games in collaboration with Monolith Studios.

“Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is evolving the F.E.A.R. brand with top horror, co-op and first person shooter combat in F.E.A.R. 3,” said Martin Tremblay, President, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “Monolith Productions has passed the torch to Day 1 Studios to create a quality, powerful game that stays true to the roots of the F.E.A.R. franchise but takes players to a heightened level of gameplay.”

To further ensure extreme terror in F.E.A.R. 3, legendary horror director John Carpenter (Halloween, Village of the Damned) and critically acclaimed horror comic and script writer Steve Niles (30 Days of Night) have provided consultation to enhance several of the game’s frightening aspects. Steve Niles co-wrote the game script with the development team and John Carpenter provided his expertise in crafting the in-game cinematics.

“After working closely with Monolith, Day 1 is honored to bring the next iteration of the F.E.A.R. franchise to gamers with key elements of the past games yet providing fresh combat and horror experiences in F.E.A.R. 3,” said Denny Thorley, Founder and President, Day 1 Studios. “Players can look forward to new features such as divergent co-op, an evolved cover system, and more scares in F.E.A.R. 3.”

StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty is the sequel to Blizzard Entertainment’s 1998 hit StarCraft, which has been hailed by players and critics worldwide as one of the top real-time strategy games of all time. StarCraft II will once again center on the clash between the protoss, terrans, and zerg, with each side deploying favorite units from the original StarCraft, along with numerous upgraded and brand-new units and abilities that allow for fresh tactics and strategies. The game's new 3D-graphics engine maintains the speed and responsive control of its predecessor while rendering hundreds of units onscreen for massive battles.

StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty's solo campaign will continue the epic saga where it left off in StarCraft: Brood War. The storyline chronicles the exploits of marshal-turned-rebel-leader Jim Raynor and features both familiar faces and new heroes. Players will be able to tailor the experience, choosing their own mission path and selecting technology and research upgrades to suit their playing style throughout the 29-mission campaign.

Several challenge-mode mini-games will also be included, with focused goals designed to ease players into the basics of multiplayer strategies. In addition, dozens of multiplayer maps will be available for competitive play through the new version of Battle.net, which is launching alongside StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty. This new version of the service has been built from the ground up to offer an unparalleled online play experience, with new features such as voice communication, character profiles and achievements, stat-tracking, ladders and leagues, cloud file storage, and more.

Additional information about StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, including the release date, will be announced in the coming weeks.
