What Have You Played This Week?

I didn't think i'd get much gaming done this week and I was right. A mixture of work, site, family commitments, and general stuff just got in the way of any serious gaming. The site was also impacted by my busy week and I apologise for it.

Football Manager 2010 – PC – Havant are still top of the Championship and i've got Vanuatu into the Oceanic Cup Final. I'm getting some January transfers in, oh I released I forgot to hire a physio so I promptly got that fixed.

Pokèmon White – DS – Elite 4 defeated. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be, i'm sure in previous games it was actually a challenge. I got my team to lvl 50 and gave it a go. The hard part comes with the events afterwards, i'm not going to go into details to avoid spoilers. I've swapped out Boldore and replaced it with Golurk.

Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes – PS3 – again, I didn't play much of this game. I leveled up my necromancer and did a few battles but not much.

Space Invaders Infinity Gene – PS3 – I played around with the music mode again. But im getting to the point where I think i'm just going to go an try and complete the main single player part of the game.

Game Dev Story – iPhone 4 – I've played through twice now. It was a lot more successful than my first attempt but again I hit a ceiling of not being able to progress any further. I tried other types of staff this time round as well as putting more effort into marketing, trying out different platforms, and trying new game combinations. I think next time i'll focus more on staff training and seeing what happens.

Tiny Wings – iPhone 4 – this is a nice and easy pick up and play kinda game. I tend to play 5 minutes here and there. Every time I play I get a bit better which is great.

Super Soviet Missile Master – iPhone 4 – this is another game I play now and then. Its very very simple but I enjoy it and its somewhat different from other games.

Nintendo Have Released A New Pokémon Black And White Trailer Showing Differences Between Them

Nintendo have released a new trailer for Pokémon Black and White. this trailer uses in-game action to show the differences between Black And White. these differences include different Pokémon, different locations, and some differences in the appearance of some towns.

EA Announce Family Game Night 4: The Game Show Video Game

EA Have announced Family Game Night 4: The Game Show Video Game for the Wii, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3. The Xbox 360 version will support Kinect and the Playstation 3 version will support Playstation Move. The game supports two-player individual or simultaneous gameplay and it can be tailored. Mii's on the Wii and Avatars on the 360 will also be supported.

Some of the games include, CONNECT 4 Basketball, SCRABBLE Flash, SORRY! Sliders, YAHTZEE! Bowling, BOP-IT Boptigon, and MONOPOLY Crazy Cash Machine.

Sony Announce Restoration Of The PSN Has Been Delayed, No New Date Given

Sony have announced the PSN will not be turned on this week. Sony have said the discovery of the attack on Sony Online Entertainment servers and the additional security tests they need to complete are the main reasons for the delay. No new date has been set, as yet, for when Sony will begin turning back on the PSN.

Sony Europe Provide More Information On The "Welcome Back Program" And Update Identity Theft Protection

Sony Europe have revealed more details for the "Welcome Back Program" they will begin when the PSN is restored. PS3 PSN users will get a choice of 2 free PS3 games, from a selection of 5 games. PSP PSN users will get a choice of 2 free games from a selection of 4 games. The Names of the games will be revealed at a different time. it is also unclear if this means users with both a PSP and PS3 will get 4 free games.

Sony Europe have also explained a delay in providing information about their Identity Theft Protection offering. Sony USA have already detailed what they are offering PSN users based in the USA. because there are several countries in the EU, each with their own laws, its taking Sony some time to manage the situation. Sony hope to have more information and details on how to sign up to their Identity Theft Protection offering next week.

Sega have announced they are releasing Guardian Heroes on the XBLA this year. Guardian Heroes was originally a Sega Saturn game that was released by Treasure in 1996. this version will be re-mastered with enhanced graphics, online co-op, battle modes, and all new modes of play. Nintendo have announced Solatorobo: Red the Hunter comes out across Europe on the 1st July 2011. The Story of Solatorobo: Red the Hunter has Red Savarin and Dahak battling giant mechs and other enemies as they travel through the floating islands. after an encounter with Elh, things take a turn and Red Savarin and Dahak have to save the world from the ancient evil being called Lares. there are 2 main parts to the game, each with a number of chapters to play through.

You take on the story of Red Savarin, a 17 year old anthropomorphic dog, and his robot, Dahak, as he does battle with giant robotic “mecha” and other enemies on his journey through the mythical floating islands of the Shepherd Republic. Zoo Entertainment Announce Wanted Corp For PC And The PS3 PSN

Zoo Entertainment have announced Wanted Corp for PC and PS3 PSN. Wanted Corp is coming out this summer for $9.99 and will support the Playstation Move on the PS3. Wanted Corp is a third person shooter where you play as bounty hunters who have to capture fugitives who have escaped from a prison ship. you play as Neal H. MadDogg, a heavy weapons expert, and Irina Zimoy, a psychic powerhouse. you can toggle between the characters and play the game in single player, local co-op, or online co-op.

There are 4 different campaigns, a variety of weapons and powers, and 26 various enemies. you can also earn credits which can be used to upgrade abilities, change weapons, and more. the different environments can also pose challenges as obstacles will need to be navigated.

In Wanted Corp, players become bounty hunters to capture ruthless fugitives who have escaped from a prison ship that crash-landed on an alien planet. Taking on the roles of Neal H. MadDogg, a heavy weapons expert, and Irina Zimoy, a psychic powerhouse, players can toggle between characters and choose to play in single-player, local or online co-op gameplay modes.

Traversing dangerous terrain through four different campaigns, players wield a variety of weapons and kinetic powers – machine guns, grenades, telekinesis, protective shields and lightning –toeliminate or arrest more than 26 various kinds of enemies including fierce bosses, sentry robots and mechanical spiders. Environments also pose challenges as shooters must navigate obstacles while battling opponents in diverse settings such as hostile jungles, murky swamps and a secret, underground base. Sony Respond To U.S House Of Representatives, Reveal Evidence Points To Attack From Anonymous

In the USA, the Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce held a hearing in Washington, DC on “The Threat of Data Theft to American Consumers.” They asked Sony questions on the cyber attack Sony and the PSN experienced. in reply, Sony's Kazuo Hirai submitted written answers to questions Sony were asked. One important piece of information was released by Sony. they found a file planted on their servers named “Anonymous” with the words “We are Legion.”. this leads to speculation that in some way Anonymous were responsible for the attack.

Sony has reiterated that for now, no major credit card company has reported any fraudulent transactions as a result of the cyber attack. they have also reiterated that they did not know the scope of the attack until the 25th April, and they subsequently informed customers on the 26th April. but they do say all PSN user accounts were compromised in some way.

Sony have also confirmed they are taking steps to prevent future breaches. This includes enhancing levels of data protection and encryption; enhancing their ability to detect software intrusions, unauthorized access and unusual activity patterns; additional firewalls; the establishment of a new data center in an undisclosed location with increased security; and the naming of a new Chief Information Security Officer.
