Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment Maynot Be Working On Stargate Worlds Anymore And May Have May Closed [Updated]

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/3f/Stargateworlds_logo.jpg

It appears that the PC MMO, Stargate Worlds, may no longer be in development. the games website, www.stargateworlds.com, is currently not reachable.
However, whilst the company had been in some financial difficulty for some time, they did announce in August to mmorpg.com that "Things are actually very good here right now. We received some funding commitments that will provide financing over time and allow us to move forward with development and start catching up on our past due financial obligations, including some back payroll that we paid last week.”
1

In September, however, a lawsuit was been bought against the "Founder and principal owner of Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment, Gary Whiting, [who] has been sued for fraudulence in the matter of finances by one of the major investors"2 the accusation is that "Gary Whiting took at least $350,000.00 from Mmoguls, Inc. unbeknownst to anyone else, including the CEO, Brent Barton."3

http://www.cheyenneme.com/ is still active, but has not been updated since at least April 2009 4, but i have e:mailed MGM and Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment for clarification on whether Stargate Worlds is still currently in development, if Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment is still developing it, and if Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment is still operating.

[Update]
Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment have replied by saying "Thanks for the enquiry. Our site has been down for maintenance longer than we had hoped however expect it to be up soon. We made a maintenance announcement Friday via the forums."

So it looks like a false Alarm on our part, Apologies for any hassle caused.
