Tweets Of The Week
What Have You Played This Week?
This year, this week before E3 has been busier than ever, not only have companies...well Sony been revealing things early, I now have access to a greater number of press sites meaning i'm soo much busier.
Football Manager 10 – PC – Managing well with Havant And Waterlooville, top of Conference South with the second half of the season ahead.
Sid Meiers Pirates – PSP – this is the newest game from swapgame. I remember this game being well received when it came out but I didn't know what to expect from it. I'm still early in the game so I can't say much about the game, but it still looks good, and it quickly gets the backstory out of the way and throws you into gameplay.
Uncharted 2 - PS3 – I actually managed to unlock a couple of trophies in mutliplayer which shows I played a good amount of multiplayer when I could. I noticed a few people I was playing against had connection issues, either that or they were dropping out of a game, which makes it easier for the team with more players to win, does become annoying.
Transformers: War For Cybertron – Demo - Xbox 360 – this demo is multiplayer only and it only provides you with 2 different classes. But I think it's fun. I've only played deathmatch so far and there's only 1 map in this mode and whilst its fairly simple, the ability to transform and customise your weapons makes even the simplest of maps different. I'm a huge transformers fan, and from a multiplayer point of view, this has to be one of the best transformers games in a long time.
what have you been playing this week? feel free to add your weeks gaming selection in the comments, or you can comment on the game i played this week.

DrinkBox And Sony Announce Tales From Space: About a Blob is Coming To The PSN This Year
Sony have announced that Tales From Space: About a Blob is coming to the PS3 via the PSN this year. the game is being developed by DrinkBox Studios, a new studio that formed after Pseudo Interactive closed, and its their first game. DrinkBox have played some bit roles in the development from other studios, including the upcoming Might and Magic: Clash Of Heroes.
Tales From Space: About a Blob is a side scrolling puzzle platformer that has a monster movie theme and a retro art style. The story of the game is that Blobs crashed landed on earth. they were found by an evil scientist who captured and studied them. but, the blobs escaped. The blobs have the ability to absorb and grow after eating things in the environment, which plays a big part in the games puzzles. the game can be played in both single player and co-op.
DrinkBox do not confirm if the game is a Playstation 3 exclusive, but it would appear that it is going to come out first on the PS3, and then afterwards if could come to other platforms.

LONDON, ENGLAND - 11 June 2010 - Gamers and football fans from around the World joined forces today to set a Guinness World Record for the most players to compete in a football video game. 82 players took turns on the controller as England and the USA drew 2-2 in a game of EA SPORTS 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa in front of hundreds of football fans who had gathered in Trafalgar Square to watch the opening ceremony and first match between the host nation and Mexico.
Despite England starting strongly it was the US who broke the deadlock with Californian, Bryson Boatwright, slotting home from close range. England dug deep and got their reward in first half stoppage time with an equaliser from Sol Matiba. The US pressed again and nearly scored as the referee called a halt to proceedings and the players went to the dressing room all square.
Five minutes into the second half the move of the match saw Laura Cole restore the USA's lead with a 35 yard pile-driver that left Robert Green stranded. Similar to the first half, England continued to pepper the USA's keeper but he denied them with a string of fine saves.
As England fans began to think this wasn't going to be their day Akshay Chopda dribbled through the US defence and clinched the all important equaliser sending the home crowd into raptures. The final few minutes were tense but neither team was able to break through and a 2-2 all draw sent everyone home happy.
With the World Cup trophy under wraps until Sunday July 11th, it was left to Guinness adjudicator, Gaz Deaves, to present both teams with the World Record Certificate.
2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa is out now on PS3, PSP, X360 & Wii. For more info go to easports.co.uk
