Zen Studios Announce KickBeat, A Music Combat Game Coming To The PS Vita This Year

Zen Studios have revealed KickBeat, an upcoming Music Combat game coming to the PS Vita this year. the idea existed back in 2006 as an idea but it would be 2009 when development on the game started. the story revolves around a hero having to battle for control of the worlds music. this music rhythm game has you fighting enemies that attack you in time of the music.

There are no on screen prompts other than the enemies themselves. you play in the middle and the enemies come towards you. you press the right button from the direction they came. you have the choice of playing with the buttons or by pressing on the screen. Zen Studios went for a martial arts theme because of its rhythmic nature, and the combination with music seemed obvious to them, though this did mean the games development time was long.

The trailer shows some of this story and this action. the trailer also reveals some of the bands whose music is in the game. they include bands like Papa Roach, Celloweller, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Blue Stahli, Pendulum, P.O.D., In Flames, Shen Yi, Pre-Fight Hype, Southpaw Swagger, Styles Of Beyond, and Voicians.
