Nintendo Announce Pokémon Black Version 2 And Pokémon White Version 2 Come To Europe This Autumn

Nintendo have announced they are bringing Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 to Europe this Autumn. details on the game are still light but Nintendo have teased new surprises will be in the games.

UK Game Charts; Uncharted: Golden Abyss, FIFA Football, UFC Undisputed 3, FIFA 12, Rayman Origins

This week sees the release of the PS Vita dominating the UK Games Charts. Uncharted comes in at number 1, FIFA Football at 2, and Wipeout 2048 at 11. Multiplatform games like Rayman Origins also saw a rise up the charts with the Vita coming out. there were other new releases in the charts with Syndicate coming in at 7, The Last Story at 15, and Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition at 17.

Game Freak have announced Pokémon Black Version 2 And Pokémon White Version 2 for the Nintendo DS. details are scarce, all that is known so far is that the game is coming out in Japan this June. Pokémon Black Version 2 And Pokémon White Version 2 appear to be direct sequels to Pokémon Black And Pokémon White, the first direct sequel to any main Pokémon games.

having sequels to main Pokémon games is a strange move. a new Nintendo handheld typically means a new Pokémon TV series and then a new Pokémon game. Pokémon Black And White was released late on the DS and the current TV series is progressing fast. the logical move would have been to release a new 3DS main Pokémon game.

having a sequel on the DS leads me to speculate the 3DS game, if one existed of course, might have been delayed when the 3DS was having problems and Pokémon Black Version 2 And Pokémon White Version 2 was designed to be a stop gap to take advantage of existing DS owners and 3DS owners. If a new Pokémon game is coming to the 3DS, i expect it to come out by mid 2013.
