Illustrated by Diego Latorre (The Incredible Hulk) and written by Christos Gage (X-Men/Spider-Man, Wildcats) the Dante’s Inferno six-issue comic miniseries will go on sale beginning in December 2009. Created by Visceral Games, Dante’s Inferno is set in the poem’s vividly imagined nine circles of hell – limbo, lust, gluttony, greed, anger, violence, heresy, fraud and treachery. Players take Dante on an epic descent through hell, battling their way through a terrifying gauntlet of demons to reclaim the soul of his beloved Beatrice. The Dante’s Inferno comic will highlight the action-packed moments in the game, and will also deliver more perspective on Beatrice’s experience, adding more depth to the game’s story and exploring more of the poem’s dramatic depiction of the underworld.

“Dante Alighieri’s “The Divine Comedy” is an incredibly rich piece of source material. It is a literary classic teeming with demons, monsters, danger and doom. It is the perfect backdrop to our action-adventure story,” said Jonathan Knight, executive producer of Dante’s Inferno. “We are extremely excited to be working with great partners like WildStorm and Starz Media to expand the story and deliver our adaptation to other powerful media.”

“When Christos and I saw the early gameplay demo of the game, our jaws just hit the floor,” said Hank Kanalz, Vice President and General Manager, WildStorm. “The nature of this game, as well as the original work, inspired WildStorm to take a unique approach in the creative. Diego Latorre’s art is outstanding and atypical for a game-based comic. EA has really set the bar high, and we strive to achieve or surpass the mark with this book.”

EA’s Dante’s Inferno will be in stores in 2010 for the Xbox 360® videogame and entertainment system, the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and the PSP® (Sony PlayStation® Portable). The game has not yet been rated by the ESRB or PEGI. What Have You Played This Week?

Football Manager 09PC – Still playing, still going. It is my vice and will be for many years to come.

Gottlieb Pinball ClassicPSP – Another game I found cheap at my local Morrison's, £4, this pinball game maybe fairly old but it's still good. Load times are annoying, but gameplay is solid, there are plenty of camera angles on each of the tables, and each table is very different from the last. For pinball fans, there are plenty of facts and pinball games, and for the casual, there's plenty of different tables to play

Odin Sphere PS2 – The last game I found at Morrison's, for £5, this rare Atlus game shows well the power of the PS2. It is sprite based, and the sprites are huge and very detailed. The gameplay is hack and slash, but there are RPG elements which add some interesting gameplay mechanics. Moving around the map is a little tedious and requires some back tracking, but the stages are fairly small and can be quickly completed. I like this little gem but are no where near completing it.

Killzone 2 – PS3 – it ahs been a whilst since I last played this game, and initially started it to keep it updated, but it didn't take long to get back into the swing of things. Still fun, still loads of people playing it. I'm just annoyed I don't have enough money to buy the new maps.

Pokèmon Platinum – DS – finally decided upon my 6 Pokèmon, got 7 badges, and now working my way up Mt Coronet.

Ghostbusters – PS3 – I didn't know what to expect with this game. Reviews had been mixed and so had user reviews. Now i'm playing it I can understand why. I like the “Ghostbusterness” about it, the humour and characters. But it hasn't exactly gone well into a videogame. There is a chance this is purely down to the developers behind the game. The Ai isn't great, and have a tendency to go to great legnths to revive the player ignore the closer computer characters. There was a point where I was moving a key from a to b. only during that, when I had the key above me, a cutscene started, a battled ensued, and the key had gone missing when it was all over. The weapons are Ghostbusters all over, and look great. Its just a shame that the enemies can take too long to be killed. the load times, even after a faily large install, are long. and if you die alot, which is very possible, the music and lenght of the load can be quite annoying. i have been playing this game on normal difficulty. The story is good enough to get past the hard parts, the poor AI, the moments where you don't know where to go...but only just. I can't help that whilst this is good, it could've been soo much better.

There Are No Plans For The Full Game Of Fallout 3 To Be Released On The PSN

After a recent conversation with a reader, i asked Bethesda if Fallout 3 is coming to the PSN, in the same way as Burnout Paradise did. they have replied that:
" We have no current plans for releasing Fallout 3 (the full game)on PSN."

This came up because of the similarities between this and Burnout Paradise. both games have received alot of updates, Game and DLC, and continued support much longer than most games. Burnout Paradise has the option to buy the game or buy the game with all the DLC, and with the amount Fallout 3 has/is getting, i wondered if Bethesda would follow Criterion's example.
