What Have You Played This Week?
I got to play some more of the games I got for Christmas and/or in the sales. Not too much progress made in them, i'm finding several of the games I've been playing are very easy to play in small chunks now and then. I'm aiming to finish God Of War soon and more onto the second one. Now i've played everything i'm going to try and go back and play Darkstalkers which I still have rented!
Gran Turismo 5 – PS3 – I'm playing the game in bits, a few racers here and few there. I'm having a good time. There are some issues but none of them detract from the game for me. I think i'm level 15 a spec and level 4 b spec.
God Of War Collection: God Of War – PS3 – i'm in the Hades section of the game. I'm enjoying it. There have been a couple of sections where i've repeatedly died, and earned the trophy for the game asking me if I want to lower the difficulty. Given that its the first game in the series, I can forgive it for a couple of the hard sections, more so as its also towards the end of the game.
Pac-Man Championship Edition DX – PS3 – this is another game I'm happy to play a little here and there. I think i'm now 4 levels in and there's not much to say about it that hasn't already been said...its simply a great game.
Sonic 4: Episode 1 – PS3 – I hoped that if I played the game more I would begin to understand it better and get more appreciation for it. I tried but I can't do it. I can honestly say I do not like this game. Its not just the look though, I don't enjoy the level design outside of the zone with the main highlights being the special stages. There have been parts in the levels where I have died because Sonic has taken too long to get to full speed animation or because the jumping isn't quite right. One thing that particularly annoyed me was the cannons. You get in, aim, and fire. They shoot you in that direction but up till a point. Sonic then goes from flying in one direction to falling. Turns out when you use a cannon, you need to use the d-pad to point Sonic in the direction you want until you land. Its annoying cause now i'm close to the end it maybe worth finishing this terrible game.
Space Invaders Infinity Gene – PS3 – I haven't played much of the single player mode. I tend to use the music mode and play levels based of the music I have on my PS3. But this isn't a bad thing because it all adds up to the levelling up in the game.
Football Manager 2010 – PC – well I got Juve Stabia promoted. Its annoying that several staff contracts have been sorted before I got hired and I don't have enough money to let them all go and get my own staff in. i've managed to off load most of the old players and high earners and have begun to build a team I want.
Gran Turismo – PSP – This was another Christmas present. I haven't played too much but that's fine for this game as its designed around playing little by little. I decided to install the game to the PSP Memory card, its around 1GB, and have noticed load times have improved considerably.
God Of War 3 – PS3 – This was a game I picked up in the sales. I've only played a little as I want to finish the God Of War Collection first. It looks amazing and the opening set piece is truly spectacular and it'll be interesting to see how the game builds from it.

Dr. Kawashima’s Body and Brain Exercises challenges players to exercise both mind and body in the most cerebral and energetic party game ever from the originators of the video game brain training craze.
Dr. Kawashima’s Body and Brain Exercises is being developed under the supervision of renowned Japanese neuroscientist, Dr. Ryuta Kawashima. In addition to his neurological work in Japan, Dr. Kawashima has also supervised the development of several best-selling games. Dr. Kawashima’s previous efforts with video games proved to millions of gamers around the world how fun it can be to train your brain in minutes a day with simple brain puzzles. His newest research shows that, in addition to simple daily mind exercises, brain activity is also jump-started by physical movement; thus resulting in Dr. Kawashima’s Body and Brain Exercises. The unique full-body motion Kinect sensor allows players’ bodies and minds to work in unison as they get up off the couch to work out problems in their heads and complete the answer with specific physical actions.
