THQ and Syfy have revealed that the upcoming Red Faction movie will be called Red Faction: Origins. The Red Faction: Origins Story, possible Guerrilla spoilers, is set Twenty-five years have passed since Alec Mason led the Martian Colonies to freedom…and ten years since vengeful enemies killed his wife, kidnapped his daughter Lyra, and left a broken hero in their wake.
Jake Mason, Alec’s last surviving son and a ranger in the Red Faction Militia, had never abandoned hope that somewhere in the raw outlands of Mars, his sister was still alive. Now, just as a powerful new enemy swarms across the planet, he’s found her, only to learn that his long lost sister is one of them…a cold-blooded soldier sworn to destroy the Red Faction and conquer the planet in the name of a madman.
Jake must now battle the relentless regime and somehow reunite a family torn apart by war.

When Darius Mason, grandson of revolution heroes Alec Mason and Samanya, unknowingly releases a long-dormant evil, Armageddon is unleashed on Mars. As settlements are torn asunder, only Darius and the Red Faction can save mankind. The battle will take them to the core of the storm-blasted planet through ice caves and lava flows until they are face to face against the unspeakable threat. What Have You Played This Week?
It may not look like i've played alot this week, but i have put alot of time into Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2, maybe 15+ hours this week. not made it in my attempt to finish the game, it could take around 60+ hours to complete the game, but i have finished 1 story mode and some of the other story mode so i may send it back to the rentals on Monday.
Football Manager 10 – PC – still with Havant & Waterlooville and still in league 1. not played too much, just coming up to Christmas now, but i'm doing well in the league. The only problem I have is i'm unable to improve my stadium and because of this my finances are very tight.
Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2 – Xbox 360 – I put a lot of time into this game in an attempt to try and finish it. What I soon discovered is that I wasn't having any fun playing it on medium so I put it on easy and began to have a better time playing the game. The main reason why medium was no fun was because the game has no checkpoint system, so if you die you have to start all the way from the beginning. What I was finding was I would get all the way to the end and die. This is more true with the giant Gundams they added to the game. They take a lot to kill them and they are very powerful, but there are some levels that have several of them throughout. The only other issues i've had with the game are some achievements not unlocking, 1 of which still has yet to unlock, and I think the manual camera moves a touch too slow. This game is not a quick game to play and the achievements are not easy to get, so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. But if you like Gundams or hack-and-slash style games this is a very competent game. There are 2 story modes to play through as well as having to juggle friendships with other characters. On the surface it is a simple game, but if you want a deeper experience from a hack-and-slash, this has it.
Transformers: War For Cybertron – PS3 – just been playing some multiplayer, trying to get some of those achievements. Still find it fun, the multiplayer issues are still annoying...but my love for Transformers and this game wins out still.
Did you manage to play more games than I have over the week, or do you have any comments on my experiences or questions about the games i've played? If you do, feel free to add them in the comments section.

David Jaffe Reveals Twisted Metal Apocalypse, A Cancelled PS3 Twisted Metal Game
David Jaffe has revealed that around 2 years ago, Twisted Metal was going to be set in an apocalyptic wasteland. The artwork above was for a post apocalyptic Sweet Tooth. David Jaffe reveals that the games co-director, Scott Campbell, wasn't keen on the post apocalypse idea and ultimately this version of Twisted Metal was cancelled. David Jaffe says it was a "Good thing we did given the glut of apocalypse style games now flooding the market. Scott so smart! :)".
