EA Reveal Upcoming DLC For Need For Speed Hot Pursuit


EA have announced 3 more DLC Packs are coming to Need For Speed Hot Pursuit. there will be a pack a week starting from 22nd February. EA have also released a trailer showing each of these packs in action. the 3 content packs are best described by EA:

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit: Armed and Dangerous
The first pack, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit: Armed and Dangerous, contains two all-new game modes that expand and extend the spectacular online experience. “Most Wanted” is an open world battle where the cops are out to bust a specific racer while the racers battle to protect them, making full use of the open world, weaponry and demanding team tactics. In “Arms Race” it’s every man for himself as racers use their full arsenal of weaponry on each other in ruthless races to the finish. In addition, this pack also contains three new trophies and achievements. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Armed and Dangerous will be available beginning February 22 for £5.49 (560 Microsoft Points) on the PlayStation®Network or Xbox LIVE™ Marketplace.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit: Lamborghini Untamed
Lamborghini Untamedadds three of the world’s most famous Lamborghini’s to the game, but with a Need for Speed Hot Pursuittwist; the legendary Lamborghini Diablo SV, Lamborghini Countach LP5000 QV and Lamborghini Sesto Elemento will all be playable as both a cop and a racer. In addition to this, the Lamborghini Untamed content pack will include 10 new events and four new trophies and achievements. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Lamborghini Untamed will be available beginning March 1 for £5.49 (560 Microsoft Points) on the PlayStation Network or Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit: Porsche Unleashed
The third pack, Porsche Unleashed, continues to add to the already stellar lineup of Porsche cars in the game. Any car enthusiast will be delighted to see the Porsche 911 Turbo (1982 Edition) make its way into the game, along with the Porsche 959 and 911 Speedster. The Porsche 911 Turbo is a high performance tier one car, designed to enable players to go back and reignite their earliest rivalries and beat their friends’ times. EA Have Released A New Video For Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Explaining The Demo

EA have released a new video for Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit. this video has the games Creative Director, Craig Sullivan, talking about the recently released PS3 and Xbox 360 demo for the game. He uses in-game footage to show the first stage in the demo, called Dark Horse, before revealing how to unlock another track, called Roadsters Reborn. Craig Sullivan offers some tips and advice for both tracks and offers his personal vehicle choices.

EA have released a new trailer for Need For Speed Hot Pursuit. this trailer focuses on the cops in the game, showing several of their cars and tactics in the game. the trailer also shows some in-game action from several different locations in Seacrest County.

EA Announce A Demo For Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Comes Out On 26th October


EA have announced that a demo for Need For Speed Hot Pursuit is coming out on 26th October on Xbox 360 and 27th October on the PS3. In the Demo there are 2 different parts. the first part of the demo is where you play as a cop in the Dark Horse Hot Pursuit event, speeding through the coastal highway and mountainous ridges of Seacrest County. the second part of the demo unlocks when you add a friend to your Need For Speed Friends list. The second event will unlock called Roadster’s Reborn, where gamers can compete as racers to set the best times.

EA have also announced that When you download and play the demo, you will also earn 500 bounty award points in the full retail version of the game for both Cop and Racer careers. The demo ends on the 9th November.

In the Need for Speed Hot Pursuit demo, players will be able to chase as a cop in the Dark Horse Hot Pursuit event, speeding through the coastal highway and mountainous ridges of Seacrest County. At the heart of the demo is a social network called Autolog that tracks cop and racer performances while playing solo and uses those statistics to generate fierce competition between friends. Once players add a friend to their Need for Speed friends list, the second event will unlock called Roadster’s Reborn, where gamers can compete as racers to set the best times. When they download and play the demo they will also earn 500 bounty award points in the full game for both Cop and Racer careers**. Accruing bounty will allow players to unlock events and exotic cars and progress through their careers in the full game.

EA Have Released A New Video For Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit

EA have released a new video for Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit. In this video, Matt Webster from Criterion talks through the Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit AutoLog. He uses in-game examples to help show off many aspects of the AutoLog, including the Wall where you can post pictures and comment/chat with friends and even post gameplay performances that your friends can click on and try to beat. other parts of AutoLog include that it is always seeing what your friends are doing in the game and telling you if your friends have beaten your score. AutoLog also has a recommendation section where it creates challenges based on what your friends are doing.

EA Have Released A New Gameplay Video For Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit

EA have released a new video for Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit. This gameplay video shows another Auto Log Challenge, a part of the game where you can attempt to beat challenges set by friends. this video shows a cop trying to take down a robber. to do so the trailer shows the cop using EMP, helicopters, and spike strips. but, between you and the Robber are other cars that must be dealt with.

EA Have released a new trailer for Need For Speed Hot Pursuit. this trailer shows off the games Autolog mode, a mode where you can try and beat your friends best scores. this video shows that you can see a selection of scores from your friends and then try to beat them. the trailer then shows in-game footage of a player trying to beat that score.

EA have released a new trailer for Need For Speed Shift. this trailer uses in-game footage to show a player deciding to beat a friends best time at a race. this race has not been shown in previous trailers and it also features new cars. the games HUD is also shown for the first time, as well as some elements similar to Burnout like the Crash Cam.

EA have revealed the Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Limited Edition. this limited edition brings 2 exclusive cars to the game and unlocks 4 cars that can be used from the beginning. The Exclusive edition will be available for the same price as the normal versions, but will only be available whilst stocks last.

The 2 Exclusive cars:
Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione
Ford Shelby GT500

The 4 Unlocked Cars:
Audi TT RS Coupé
Chevrolet Camaro SS
Porsche Cayman S
Dodge Challenger SRT8

EA Reveal Need For Speed Hot Pursuit

EA Have announced Need For Speed Hot Pursuit is the upcoming game from Criterion Games and newest game in the Need For Speed Series. Need For Speed Hot Pursuit is set for a November 2010 release on the Wii, PS3, PC, and Xbox 360. EA and Criterion have also revealed Need For Speed Autolog, where you are able to compare racing stats and get personalised gameplay recommendations.
