Sony Have Released A New MLB 11 The Show Trailer Showing Home Run Derby

Sony have released a new trailer and detailed the Home Run Derby mode in MLB 11 The show. the trailer is in-game and shows people using Playstation Move to hit Home Runs. this mode can of course still be played using the Dual Shock 3. you have the option to play a quick 3 out or even 5 or 10 outs, using up to 8 batters.

Sony Announce MLB.TV 2011 Is Out Now In The USA

Sony have announced the 2011 update for MLB.TV is out now in the USA. MLB.TV builds on the 2010 version and adds:
  • Highest Quality HD Streaming – Speed detection technology gives users ultra-HQ video access (NexDef 4.5 mbps) depending on available bandwidth.
  • Enhanced Audio – In-game alternate audio selection allows users to overlay the home or away team’s broadcasters over the live video or use the “Park” option to include the ballpark’s natural sounds.
  • Quick-Access Stats – View player cards with full career stats, league leaders, and in-game stats including AB, R, H, RBI, K, BB, SO, LOB, AVG, HR, SB.
  • Event Navigation – Select in-game event types, such as home runs, hits or stolen bases, to show on a progression timeline and jump directly to the at bat where they happened.
  • Improved User Interface – User-friendly design makes it even easier to browse.

Sony Have Detailed "Pure Throwing" In MLB 11 The Show

Sony have released a new video for MLB 11 The Show detailing the "Pure Throwing" in the game. Pure Throwing uses the right analog stick to control throws to your players. Push the analog stick towards any base to release your throw, or hold L1 while pushing the stick in any direction to throw the ball from the outfield to the cutoff man. Holding the stick longer will put a little extra mustard on the ball, but make sure to keep your throws accurate by pushing the analog stick in a straight line.

Sony Have Detailed "Pure Pitching" In MLB 11 The Show

Sony have detailed "Pure Pitching" In MLB 11 The Show by releasing a gameplay tutorial. This new addition to the MLB The Show Series allows the player to pitch by just using the right analogue stick. The Blog best describes this by saying:
" To start, pull down on the right analog stick to begin the pitcher’s delivery as a ball icon moves gradually downward towards a yellow line. That line represents your ideal pitch height. Time it such that you push the stick upward at precisely the time the ball icon hits this yellow line. Inside-outside pitch location is a result of the direction you push the right analog stick up"
There is more to "Pure Pitching" and the trailer gives some suggestions on how it can be used tactically.

Sony Have Released A Video For MLB 11 The Show Called "Torture" And Another Showing Stadium Realism

Sony have released 2 new trailers for MLB 11 The Show. the first video shows the stadiums in the game and announces the Jumbotrons from each stadium are also in the game. the trailer also shows weather and overall realism of MLB 11. The Second trailer is called "Torture". the bases are loaded, Ryan Howard is coming to the Plate and going to swing for the fences. what does Tim Lincecum do. the trailer shows how this scenario plays out and its effect on the game.
