IO Interactive Announce Changes, Will Focus On The Hitman Franchise But Other Projects Cancelled


IO Interactive have announced they are moving to focus on just the Hitman Franchise. this means other projects have been cancelled and almost half of the employees at IO Interactive have had to be let go. IO Interactive have confirmed that a new AAA Hitman project is currently underway.

Square Enix And IO Interactive Have Released A Launch Trailer For Hitman HD Trilogy

Square Enix and IO Interactive have released a launch trailer for Hitman HD Trilogy. the collection comes out early February and this trailer shows the 3 games in HD Action, highlighting features like there are 75 Hits across the 3 games. the trailer also confirms this collection will come with Hitman: Sniper Challenge, which was a standalone game which was released before Hitman Absolution.

IO Interactive And Square Enix Announce Hitman: HD Trilogy, Coming Febuary To PS3 And Xbox 360

Square Enix have IO Interactive have revealed the Hitman: HD Trilogy. coming to PS3 and Xbox 360, the Hitman: HD Trilogy includes Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman: Contracts and Hitman: Blood Money in HD. the collections are set to come out across the USA on 29th January and across PAL countries on 1st February.

Square Enix Announce IO Interactive Are Working On Console Patches For Hitman: Absolution

Square Enix have confirmed that IO Interactive are working on a Hitman: Absolution patch for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. the PC version of the game received a patch last week, which would be downloaded automatically by Steam Update. no specific details were revealed about the console patch, but Square Enix say IO Interactive hope to have the patch ready to come out from 10th December.

IO Interactive And Square Enix Reveal Deus Ex DLC For Hitman: Absolution

Square Enix and IO Interactive have revealed the Deus EX DLC for Hitman: Absolution. The DLC are 80MS Points/$1.00 each and include: 

Hitman: Absolution Deus Ex Suit
Dress Agent 47 in the iconic combat armor used by Adam Jensen in Deus Ex: Human Revolution and get better protection from firearms with advanced armor.

Hitman: Absolution Deus Ex ’Zenith’ Gun
The Zenith pistol was the handgun of choice for Adam Jensen in Deus Ex: Human Revolution and can now be used by Agent 47 in Hitman: Absolution. The 10mm compact pistol can be equipped with a Steiner-Bisley silencer to make sure that Agent 47's missions can be completed like a Silent Assassin.

Square Enix Have Released A New Trailer For IO Interactive Hitman: Absolution

Square Enix have released a new trailer for Hitman: Absolution, an upcoming game from IO Interactive. this cinematic trailer shows agent 47 at Rosewood Orphanage in Chicago. whilst there, the place is raided by a gang of criminals, criminals looking for the same thing as 47.

IO Interactive Have Released A New Trailer And Screenshots For Hitman Absolution

IO Interactive and Square Enix have released the debut trailer and screenshots for Hitman: Absolution. the trailer is cinematic but it does provide examples of what the gameplay could be like, and in this case its the focus on how to take out an enemy. The screenshots show in-game action but focus more on the in-game environments and the character you play as, Agent 47.

IO Interactive Have Released A Teaser Trailer For Hitman Absolution

IO Interactive have released a teaser trailer for Hitman Absolution. whilst not much is shown in this CGi Trailer, Io Interactive have provided some game details:
HITMAN ABSOLUTION follows Agent 47, a cold blooded assassin, who takes on his most dangerous contract to date. Betrayed by those he trusted and hunted by the police, he finds himself at the centre of a dark conspiracy and must embark on a personal journey through a corrupt and twisted world, in his search for the truth



I expect we'll be seeing more of this game at this years E3.

IO Interactive Has Announced That Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days Is Coming To The PS3, Xbox 360, And PC's In 2010

IO Interactive has revealed that Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days is coming out on the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, And PC's in 2010. They have released the current boxart for the game, which can change. They have also released 2 videos for Kane & Lynch 2, both in the form of CCTV Footage. its unclear if it represents in-game footage, but it could be representative of what happens in the game.
