Atari Announce Champions Online Will Become A Free To Play MMORPG From Q1 2011


Atari have announced that Cryptic Studios MMORPG Champions Online is to become free to play in Q1 2011. there will be items available for purchase, like adventure packs, items, powers, and costume pieces, from Cryptics C-Store. existing and new members can choose to upgrade to Gold Status, for $14.99, which will unlock most of the games content and include extra features.

Players will be able to download and enjoy the game at absolutely no cost.

Champions Online free-to-play will also feature additional premium content for purchase. Adventure Packs, items, powers and costume pieces can be selected a la carte inside Cryptic's innovative C-Store. Additionally, current players may continue subscribing as Gold members, while new players may also optionally upgrade to Gold status, which unlocks most of the game's content and includes extra features for a set price of $14.99 per month.

Atari Have announced Star Raiders, a franchise that helped create the space combat genre, is coming back and will come out on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC in early 2011. The first Star Raiders game was released back in 1979 and had games released throughout the 80's and 90's. This new Star Raiders game will have all new features for the series including customisable ships and online play whilst also having traditional features like Space Warps and Galactic tactical maps. Atari have announced that Star Raiders will be an Episodic game series but don't say when the other episodes will be released.

Atari And Cryptic Studios announce Neverwinter for PC. Neverwinter is a online roleplaying game based on Dungeons & Dragons and Neverwinter. The Story behind Neverwinter is that the location Neverwinter will soon be under attack from the dead. factions are battling for control and the population is still recovering from Spellplague which killed soo many. Neverwinter is currently set for a Q4 2011 release.

In Neverwinter you choose to become 1 of 5 classic D&D classes and can team up with friends, or computer controlled allies, to form 5 person co-op groups. there will also be a content generation system, tentatively codenamed Forge, that will allow you to create your own storylines and quests.

Neverwinter is a new online roleplaying game based on Wizards of the Coast's global property Dungeons & Dragons and the beloved city of Neverwinter.

Once a bustling location, Neverwinter has faced a great many disasters in the past hundred years. Rule of the city remains unclear following the unfortunate demise of the last Lord of Neverwinter and factions still battle for dominance after the all-consuming Spellplague took a high toll on the population. Atari Announce The Release Date For Test Drive Unlimited 2 Has Been Put Back Until Early 2011


Atari have announced that the release date for Test Drive Unlimited 2 has been put back to early 2011. no specific release date has been provided by Atari, but they say the reason for the delay is to provide the "developers with additional time to fully enhance the connected console multi-player experience for consumers and deliver the ultimate blend of exhilarating open world racing and a luxurious, fast-lane lifestyle." Anther reason for the delay is due to consumer feedback.

The Test Drive Unlimited 2 Beta has been rescheduled, but those who have already signed up will get an exclusive in-game item for the delay. again, no new release date for the beta has been provided by Atari.

Atari Announce The Aston Martin One-77 Is In Test Drive Unlimited 2

Atari have announced that the Aston Martin One-77 will be in Test Drive Unlimited 2 and playable. The Aston Martin One-77 is only getting a limited release of 77 cars, which means the only time for many to drive the car will be in Test Drive Unlimited 2. Atari have released this trailer showing the car in the game, as well as a few stats about it.

Atari Announce A Re-Imagined Haunted House Is Coming To Wii, Xbox Live Arcade, And PC's This Fall


Atari have announced that a re-imagined Haunted House is coming out this fall on Wii, XBLA, and PC. Haunted House was originally released on the Atari 2600 and this new version is still set in the Graves Mansion but now you play as the grandchildren of the original character, who mysteriously disappeared over 30 years ago in the Mansion. You have to explore the mansion, whilst being chased by poltergeists, haunted by Skeletons, and being exhausted from battles with creepy creatures, looking for 4 lost pieces of a magical urn. The game has 3D environments full of hidden treasures and puzzles and at the end of the game you will face Zachary Graves.

Atari Have Released New Test Drive Unlimted 2 Screenshots And A Fact Sheet

Atari have released new screenshots and a fact sheet for Test Drive Unlimited 2. The screenshots Atari have released focus on a few cars, showing them either in a garage or in the specific locations, for example the Audi Q7 in an off road location. The Fact sheet details many of the new or improved features in this years game, like the game/island has over 600km of roads to race on, you are able to customise your cars, the game is always live, and the dynamic weather and night and day modes.

Atari Announce They Are Bringing Blade Kitten To The Xbox 360, Playstation 3, And PC This September

Atari have announced that they are brining Blade Kitten to the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC's this September. Krome Studios had originally announced they were brining Blade Kitten exclusively to the Playstation 3, but it now appears they were unable to do so and now Atari is going to publish the game on multiple platforms. Because of this move to multiplatforms, Blade Kittens original release date of spring has been moved back to September.

Blade Kitten is based on the comic book series created by Steve Stamatiadis. the game will still have 19 levels, but it is unclear if the game will still be the 2 part mini series that it originally was going to be. i imagine this will be cleared up nearer the games release. The trailer i have included is from the PS3 version of the game, when it was announced as a PS3 exclusive.

Blade Kitten marks the latest creation by Mr. Stamatiadis, who is also the force behind the multi-million selling TY the Tasmanian Tiger series. In Blade Kitten, a prequel to the comics set three years prior, players are invited into the world of Hollow Wish where they take on the role of Kit Ballard, one of the best bounty hunters in the business. With her pink hair and tail, Kit is part cat, part girl - and fully lethal. As one of the last of her species, Kit commands her unique "Darque Blade" hovering sword to defeat enemies. Also along for the ride is Skiffy, Kit's laid-back sidekick who lends a hand in collecting items, solving puzzles, and when needed, serves as Kit's protector.

Atari Announce Test Drive Unlimited 2 Is Coming Out In USA On 21st September

 Atari have announced that Test Drive Unlimited 2 is coming out in the USA on 21st September. I Now have access to Atari Press Materials and have included screenshots that they have released for the game so far as well as two trailers, 1 focuses on many of the cars in the game, whilst the other trailer shows customisation options and things you can do away from the racing.
