· Historical
Accuracy
From the onset of the game’s design and story process,
we placed a great deal of emphasis on coupling authenticity with
historical accuracy. Through extensive conversations with
historians from the USS Midway, we tried to recreate graphical
details of each campaign area and all battlefields. In
addition, the missions blend historical accuracy with the excitement
of piloting fighters, torpedo planes, and dive bombers during that
period.

thrill as a WWII fighter pilot and promotes the sensation of true
flight.
Q & A
Q:
What planes are in the game?
A: The game includes 68
variations of 32 unique aircraft. Players unlock upgraded versions of
each aircraft as the war unfolded before them, on both the American
and Japanese sides; this provides the feeling of technological
advancement from 1941 to 1945 as well as increased difficulty
shooting down enemy planes as they become more agile and better
armored. Variations of planes include: P-51 Mustang (A, B & D),
P-38 Lightning (D, F & L), F6F Hellcat (3, 5 & 5N), and the
Japanese Zero (A6M, A6M2, A6M2-N & A6M-8). Every single one
of the 32 aircraft comes in different and highly realistic
variations.
Q: What are Sim and Arcade Modes?
A: Perfect
for pick-up-and-play gaming, Arcade mode simplifies the control
scheme and gets inexperienced players right into the action. Once you
master the basics, switch over to Sim mode to gain more precise
control over each aircraft. Sim mode is the best choice when
gaming with the AV8R FlightStick.
Q: How many missions
are in the game?
A: The game features more than 20
missions consisting of hundreds of objectives in 11 different
campaign areas. As an added bonus, every mission includes
hidden awards for gamers to discover. The game also boasts a
full-featured award system with support for Xbox 360 Achievements and
PS3 Trophies.
Q: What are Warspeed and Reflex
Mode?
A: Warspeed is an in-game function that
allows you to boost your speed when moving from one objective to
another, keeping the gameplay experience fast-paced and action
packed. Reflex mode is an in-game function that allows you to
slow time in critical situations, providing a slow-motion effect
which helps you complete complex objectives.
