PomPom Games have announced they are bringing Alien Zombie Megadeath exclusively to the PS3. Alien Zombie Death was released as a PSP Minis game in 2010, and now PomPom are back with a PS3 version called Alien Zombie Megadeath that's set to come out 21st June in the USA, 6th July in the EU, for £4.99/€5.99/$7.99.

Alien Zombie Megadeath has 70 levels to play through, that can be played either single player or in co-op. there are various game modes, shown in the trailer below, and over 280 medals to unlock.

Press Release

Last year PomPom made Alien Zombie Death on PSP minis. Heralded as “pacy, mean-spirited, and delightful.” By EDGE magazine. It was a simple, extremely focused platform shooter. We loved making it. Anybody with the required skill set loved playing it. Those who didn’t clearly play too much backgammon.

Alien Zombie Megadeath takes up the slimy baton, bringing the game to the PS3 in glorious HD, with a fabulous list of new features. At it's heart, a platform shoot-em-up. You are a lone spaceman, out in space, doing spaceman stuff. You have a gun. It shoots laser beams... Out there are the Alien Zombies. They don't like you. They smell. Add all this together and the result is carnage... or death, if you are not very good.

The lovely feature list:
Intense retro shoot em up gameplay.
70 levels
Both one-shot and survival level types.
Multiplayer Co-Op
Various game modes: Bomb Disposal, Space Baby Rescue, JetPack & Decoy Pods.
Medal system, with over 280 unique medals to unlock
A range of space suits available. Plus a few to unlock!
Independent leaderboards for all levels
Weapon power-ups for those sticky moments
