What Have You Played This Week?

I tried to play more this week. Still busy with the site, of course, but took more time to relax and play some games. Even if it was in small chunks with Shatter or Fat Princess.

Football Manager 09PC – Still going strong. I've been playing as San Marino, the club not the nation though they both do share the same name, location and stadium. It's interesting as I don't really try out the Italian leagues much.

Dead SpacePS3 – i'll say it now i'm not a fan of scary games, but I still wanted to try this game...with the lights on during the day. Can't say i've gotten far yet. I've done the first chapter and about half way through the second. Graphics look nice, story fits nice, and the art fits. The monsters did make me jump at the start, but it didn't take long for that to pass. I liked the different things it's already made me do, like the lack of gravity sections, nad looking at the trophies make me think I may have a chance to platinum it.

Fat Princess – PS3 – no issues connecting to a game, but did notice that a lot of games fail to find a host. Still one of the top players on a team, and there are still some people who don't have a clue or just don't know what the fire map is about.

Tag – PC I found this game on my computer when I was hunting for something else. Its a simple free indie game, where you have a paint gun and you get different colours which have different effects on the player. The levels are deisgned to show you how to use each colour, as well as some little tricks as well. It was very engaging and very easy to go from one stage to another. The lack of a save is very annoying, but if you want a free indie game...look for tag.

Shatter – PS3 I do enjoy this game. The gameplay can be subtle and complicated depending on how the player plays the game. It does get fairly difficult as you progress through the letters, but it also offers the player plenty of 1ups which I feel is a good balance. The end bosses also have gotten smarter, needing the player to use more functions of the craft and some strategy which is also welcomed. And of course, the soundtrack is perfect for the game.
