Sony Reveal PlayStation Vita Firmware Update 2.10, Comes Out 10th April With Folder Support



Sony have announced PS Vita Firmware update 2.10 comes out from 10th April. the key new feature of this update is the addition of Folders.

To create a folder, hold the touch screen until the edit screen opens, then click on a game. you get to create a folder with that game being the first included.

you can change the name of the folder and add up to 10 games to it

you can have up to 100 icons on the PS Vita home screen at a time. each folder will show the games/apps you have added to it.

The Full List Of Firmware 2.10:
  • Create folders to more easily manage your favorite application icons on the home screen, with up to 10 icons in each folder and a maximum of 100 on the home screen (including icons inside the folders).
  • Verify which PS Vita card you are using by looking at the home screen’s info bar. You can also save the layout of your home screen icons in the memory card.
  • Added video support allows you to play videos within the browser (memory card required; some videos are not supported).
  • New email enhancements allows you to view HTML messages, add multiple email addresses to your contacts, and easily search your messages using the new search feature.
  • PlayStation Plus members will be able to automatically update PlayStation Mobile format software and upload game save data onto online storage using 3G connection.
  • New “Mute Automatically” option will mute your PS Vita speakers when your headset is unplugged and pause your music when using the music app.

Naughty Dog have released a new behind the scenes look at The Last Of Us. this video focuses on the Wasteland Environment and uses in-game action and concept art to show several different locations. the video features members of the dev team talking about their area of expertise, we hear how light is important in the game and can reflect the colour of the surface it shines on. also discussed is vegetation growth and how it's starting to take over the abandoned environments.

Deep Silver Have Released The First Part Of The Metro Last Light Survival Guide Introducing The World

Deep Silver have released a new video for Metro Last Light. this is the first part of the Ranger Survival Guide, it uses in-game action to show the game world. it tackles the some of the factions, mutants and hazards you can come across in the game.

Media Molecule Announce Tearaway Comes Out On PS Vita Across The USA On 22nd October And 25th October Across The EU


Media Molecule have announced the release date for Tearaway and the boxart. the game hits the USA first on 22nd October and then the EU on 25th October. the boxart has been revealed as reversible with a male character on 1 side and a female character on the other. Media Molecule have also released a new trailer for Tearaway showing the Sogport location.

Sony Reveal InviZimals: The Alliance For PS Vita And InviZimals: The Lost Kingdom For PS3

Sony have revealed 2 new InviZimals Games, one each for the PS3 and PS Vita. details on both games are light, but Sony have released a new trailer and screenshots highlighting the main features.

InviZimals: The Lost Kingdom is a PS3 game that, for the first time, lets you play as an InviZimal in the InviZimal world. InviZimals: Lost Kingdom is being developed by Magenta Software, a Liverpool Based Studio. you explore the InviZimal world, solve puzzles and save the InviZimals from a unknown threat. the PS3 game supports cross play with the PS Vita game, where you can fight against PS Vita players and also trade between the PS3 and PS Vita.

InviZimals on PS Vita is InviZimals: The Alliance. this is more like the previous PSP games where you explore the real world and use AR Cards to bring the InviZimals to life and also hunt for them so you can capture them. you are also able to fight with other people. InviZimals: The Alliance is being developed in Spain by Novarama Technology.
