EA Announce Simon Pegg Will Provide Voices In Spare Parts

EA have announced Actor Simon Pegg is providing voices for their upcoming XBLA and PSN game, Spare Parts. Simon Pegg will provide the voice of supercomputer guide and companion Con-rad.

EA Play today announced that actor Simon Pegg will be providing the voice of supercomputer guide and companion Con-rad in Spare PartsTM, an upcoming action adventure game for Xbox LIVE® Arcade and PlayStation®Network. Best known for starring roles in Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and his portrayal of Montgomery "Scotty" Scott in the revamped Star Trek, Pegg will be bringing his recognizable personality to Con-rad.

Launching this winter and developed by EA Bright LightTM, Spare Parts tells the story of courageous robots Mar-T and Chip, who find themselves dumped out with the rubbish on a strange planet. Working together in co-op mode (either local or online), and guided by Con-rad, the mechanical duo must find a way to repair an abandoned space ship and escape the planet before evil Lord Krung can dispatch his henchmen to destroy them. Searching the hostile environments for ship parts and currency, Mar-T and Chip will also collect upgradable action parts – such as Rocket Boots - to unlock new abilities that will aid them as they rescue other stranded robots, and battle countless enemies including the relentless Krofax troopers, hostile spider monkeys and even a Super Huge Mega Laser!

Sony Announce Tokyo Jungle Is Coming To The EU PSN In 2011

Sony Europe have announced that Tokyo Jungle is coming to the EU PSN in 2011. the game is set in a post apocalyptic Tokyo where there are no humans, just animals. the animals are running wild and you take control of an animal and try to survive as you try to find prey and avoid becoming prey.

Sega have released a new trailer for Sonic Free Riders on Xbox 360 Kinect. this trailer shows some of the weapons in the game, using in-game action to show them being used as well as video of the movements required to activate them.

Capcom Announce Smurfs’ Village For The iPhone, iPod Touch, And iPad


Capcom have announced Smurfs’ Village, an upcoming game based on the Smurfs franchise. In the game, your tasked with rebuilding the Smurfs village after it has been destroyed by Gargamel. you start with a single mushroom house, a ploughed plot of land, and advice from Papa Smurf. from here you build other specialised houses, gardens, rivers and more. characters from Smurfs like Smurfette and Jokey Smurf bring unique skills and perks to the village. Smurfs’ Village is set to come out in November and will receive regular content updates. it will be free to buy, but additional content for it will cost.

LOS ANGELES, CA – October 28, 2010 – In anticipation of next summer’s 3D live-action/animated family comedy The Smurfs, Capcom®Mobile, a leading developer and publisher of video games, today announced that it will be releasing a social network game for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch based on the beloved classic franchise, the SmurfsTM. Dubbed Smurfs’ Village, the game tasks players with rebuilding the Smurfs’ village after it has been destroyed by Gargamel. Smurfs’ Village is the first in a series of entertainment projects based on the legendary blue creatures.

Based on the original cartoon and comic art, players begin the game under the guidance of Papa Smurf, with only a single mushroom house and a lone plowed plot of land. From there, things quickly progress, allowing players to build specialized houses, elaborate gardens with colorful crops, bridges to span running rivers, trodden paths, and more.
