Press Release

London, UK- September 23rd, 2010. Worms™, the now iconic franchise from Britsoft stalwarts Team17 has been providing quality gaming for over 15 years, and this month sees the announcement of Worms: Battle Islands as a digital download title for the PlayStation®Portable system from PlayStation®Network this winter. This title boasts several new features that are all-new to the series; an especially exciting new gamestyle being the multi-player focused Tactics Mode.

In Tactics Mode, the player takes control of their very own Secret Island Base made up of many different islands, each island imparting a tactical advantage for the player to use at the beginning of a game. For example, the player could recon a battlefield before the war commences, or snipe an enemy worm to gain the upper hand; each one of the 16 islands available in game can be used to compliment the player’s individual play style. Take the fight online and, should you be victorious, you will have the opportunity to steal an item from your opponent’s island for your own personal use!

Another first in the world of 2D Worms™ is a comprehensive weapons editor. Create your ideal Worms™ weapon, tweak and tune with a multitude of adjustable elements and then take it to the battlefield to lay waste to the opposition! Melee weapons, grenades, missile weapons and airstrikes are all available to create, meaning that each player has the opportunity to field an entirely individual armoury in every match. With enhanced worm customisation elements including masks, backpacks and custom power bars, and an extensive landscape editor, Worms: Battle Islands is a feature-rich and long-lasting game for PSP® that is sure to keep Worms™ and strategy fans happy for days on end.

Martyn Brown, Business Development Director at Team17, says; “Battle Islands is a fantastic PSP® title that is packed to the rafters with features and content, easily the most feature-rich portable edition of the game to date. We know fans have been waiting a while for this and so it’s a pleasure to finally confirm its forthcoming release.”

Irrational Games Have Released A 10 Minute Gameplay Video For BIoshock Infinite

Irrational Games have released a 10 minute gameplay video for BioShock Infinite. the video doesn't show the games HUD and its not clear what parts are scripted, like QTE Events, and what are actual gameplay. i'd recommend watching the Video in HD as the video also shows Columbia's architecture and skyscrapes.

Media Molecule and Sony have announced that the global release of Little Big Planet has been delayed until January 2011. The Reason for the delay appears to be they need more time to polish the game and generally make it better for its release. Media Molecule have also revealed that they are looking at other ways to give people a taste of Little Big Planet 2, this means demos and open betas.
