Press Release

SAN FRANCISCO --(Business Wire)-- Aug 13, 2009 Plus+, a publisher of iPhone and iPod touch games, and MumboJumbo, a developer and publisher of critically acclaimed casual games, are bringing the award-winning PC and Mac classic LUXOR to the iPhone and iPod touch.

LUXOR, the No. 1 marble-shooter game, will make its debut on the App Store this August with exciting community gameplay features enabled by Plus+, the free social play network.

“Plus+ publishing is delighted to team up with a talented company like MumboJumbo to launch our first title,” said Simon Jeffery, Chief Publishing Officer, Plus+. “This award-winning franchise will be the first of many top caliber games that players will enjoy on Plus+.”

The LUXOR franchise has amassed more than 75 million downloads worldwide with its fun and addictive gameplay. The Egyptian-themed classic has earned distinctions like Casual Game of the Year, Best Puzzle Game, Best Visual Arts and Best Audio among other industry awards. LUXOR, the pioneer of the franchise, now gets amped with the power of touch and tilt, and the network features of Plus+.

In LUXOR, the god’s evil minions have unleashed chains of colored spheres to destroy the pyramids of Ancient Egypt. Players must clear these chains by color-matching three or more spheres. Native controls allow players to slide, tap, shake and tilt to manipulate the magical winged, side-scrolling shooter and launch power-ups. The fate of Ancient Egypt is literally in the player’s hands.

Plus+ registrants in LUXOR can experience not only the touch innovation of a genre classic, but also the added depth of social play. Players can send challenges to friends via Facebook and Twitter, blaze to the top of global leaderboards and earn points on Plus+. These social play elements add to the hours of gameplay packed across 88 levels of chain-blasting strategy.

“It’s a thrill for us to bring LUXOR to the iPhone and iPod touch with Plus+,” said Mark Cottam, Chief Executive Officer, MumboJumbo. “We are delighted to work with Plus+, drawing on the company’s unrivaled marketing capabilities as well as the Plus+ Network player benefits that will enhance the LUXOR experience on our fans’ favorite device.”
