Codemasters Announce The Lord of the Rings Online Can Be Downloaded And Played For Free And A GamesCom Only Promotion


Codemasters have announced that you can downloaded and play The Lord of the Rings Online for free. you will be able to buy items in-game to enhance your gaming experience using points bought at the store or earned from gameplay.

Codemasters have also revealed that if you visit the Codemasters Online/Warner Bros. booth at GamesCom and register for a free The Lord of the Rings Online account, you will be awarded with €10 worth of in-game points to spend in the store. The Codemasters Online/Warner Bros. booth can be found in Hall 8.1, A31.

To celebrate the highly anticipated introduction of LOTRO’s innovative new pricing model that allows players to download the game and play for free. Codemasters Online will be offering free Points to the value of €10 in a promotional giveaway for all who register for a free account in their booth at gamescom this year.

Visitors to the Codemasters Online/Warner Bros. booth, located in Hall 8.1, A31, will have the opportunity to register for their free account and will be rewarded with €10 worth of free in-game Points to spend in the new LOTRO Store when the game goes free-to-play this coming Autumn.

The LOTRO store is seamlessly integrated into the game and lets the player identify new and exciting ways to enhance and customise their experience using Points which can be purchased in the store or earned through gameplay. The new LOTRO Store will be loaded with thousands of convenience items as well as expansion packs, premium content, additional character slots, potions, character customisation and more.

Konami Have Released New Screenshots For DanceDanceRevolution On The Playstation 3

Konami have released new screenshots for the Playstation 3 version of DanceDanceRevolution. these screenshots are in-game and show off various parts of the game. the first screenshot shows of the weight loss option, where it tracks how many calories you've lost from dancing. the next screenshot shows off some of the options. The following 8 screenshots are just art, whilst the next screen is from the "Club" mode. The next 2 screens show off the multiplayer "Dance Off" mode, where up to 4 players use the same dance matt to pull of a set of moves the best. This is followed by 5 screens from the games free play mode, and the last set of screenshots show Playstation Move integration.

Konami have also revealed that DanceDanceRevolution uses the Playstation Eye to show your dance on the screen. You can record this gameplay and use the Playstation Move to customise the screen with effects and camera control. The finished video can then be uploaded to Facebook or Youtube by using the PS3 Video Editor & Uploader on the XMB.

Sony Announce Playstation Plus Subscribers Will Have Access To Tomb Raider Before Regular PSN Users


Sony have announced that Playstation Plus Subscribers will have access to the PS1 Classic game, Tomb Raider, 2 weeks before regular PSN users. Tomb Raider is coming out next Monday on the PSN Store and it will cost £7.99 and €9.99.

Namco Bandai have released a new trailer for Enslaved: Odyssey To The West. this trailer is for GamesCom and shows in-game action whilst also revealing bits of the games story.
