Sony Announce That The Playstation 3 Slim Has Sold 1 Million Units In 3 Weeks
Sony has announced that the Playstation 3 Slim has sold 1 million units in just 3 weeks of being on sale. they do say that this figure is based on SCEI’s estimation.

Tokyo, September 24, 2009 – Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. today announced that retail sales of its new PlayStation®3 (PS3®) (CECH-2000A) computer entertainment system achieved a total of 1 million units*1 worldwide in the 3 weeks since its launch on September 1, 2009 *2. The expansion of the PS3 platform is being accelerated along with the introduction of more and more new and exciting software titles as well as the enhancement of PlayStation®Network.
While maintaining cutting-edge features and functions, such as the ability to enjoy high quality interactive entertainment content including Blu-ray Disc™ games and movies as well as various content and services downloadable through PlayStation Network, the new PS3 is available at a highly attractive recommended retail price of 29,980 yen (including tax), US$299 and €299, with an extremely streamlined form factor and a pre-installed 120GB Hard Disk Drive. Furthermore, the reduction of power consumption and fan noise as well as the casual appearance have also become drivers in attracting a larger and broader range of users.
Along with the vast line-up of attractive and exciting entertainment content to be released this holiday season from third-party game developers and publishers as well as from SCE Worldwide Studios, SCE will continue to further expand the PS3 platform and create a new world of computer entertainment.

Microsoft has released new screenshots and a new trailer for Crackdown 2. the trailer is a slightly extended trailer from that shown at E3, whilst the screenshots show mainly battles in different areas of the city. both the screenshots and trailer show that the city is familiar to the original one, and the Orbs from the original game are also in this new game.

Microsoft has released screenshots for their upcoming Xbox Live Arcade game, Toy Soldiers. the screenshots show of the games artstyle as well as showing in game action. the action show many different units and vehicles available in the game. the trailer for the game also shows some of the in game action and vehicles in the game. it also shows that not all the units/vehicles are historically accurate. all this plays to a old style music track.

EverQuest II Update, The Shards of Destiny, Is Live Now
Sony Online Entertainment have released a trailer and screenshots for the newest expansion for Everquest II. the trailer talks about the history behind the expansion, whilst the screenshots show many of the characters and locations that have been added with this expansion.
As well as introducing this new story, the expansion also brings Chronomagic to the game. Chronomagic can be used to down-tier you level so you can experience content that you may have missed whilst you were levelling up. an achievement system has also been added to the game as well as all people with houses will receive a new room.
