The next instalment of the multi-million selling Devil May CryTM franchise, DmC sees Capcom collaborating with UK based Ninja Theory to explore new frontiers for the series. DmC is in development for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®3.

From its debut on PlayStation 2 in 2001, the Devil May Cry series has been synonymous with stylish action, rewarding combat and a brash, smart-talking protagonist. This ‘Devil May Cry DNA’ remains but is now injected with a dark and brutal gameplay that promises to redefine the franchise.

Set against a contemporary backdrop, DmC will depict a duplicitous world where nothing is ever as it seems and the line between good and evil is constantly blurred. Spurred into action by the promises of a trusted relation, Dante bursts into this world intent on revenge at any cost. DmC will retain the series’ signature mix of sword and gunplay but add additional weapons, all new powers and a revitalised gameplay system as players encounter the game’s devilish mix of enemies and navigate the rich, interactive environment.

A true collaboration, DmC sees the team at Ninja Theory joined by key staff from Capcom’s R&D division. Creative direction for the title will be undertaken by Ninja Theory’s Tameem Antoniades and overseen by Hedeaki Itsuno, who has worked on all previous titles in the series. DmC is being co-produced by Capcom’s Japanese and North American development operations.

Press Release

Guildford, UK. – Sept. 15, 2010 – Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) and legendary Japanese developer Grasshopper Manufacture today revealed Shadows of the Damned, an all-new psychological action thriller game from executive director Suda51 (director of No More HeroesTM), creative producer Shinji Mikami (director of Resident Evil®) and music composer Akira Yamaoka (sound director of Silent HillTM). Shadows of the Damned follows a demon hunter deep into a hyper-twisted re-imagining of hell where he must rescue the love of his life by defeating the armies of darkness with the power of the light. Shadows of the Damned is scheduled for release in the summer of 2011 on the Xbox 360® videogame and entertainment system and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system.

"We are excited to finally take the cover off our latest project and invite gamers from around the globe to experience this new, warped world we have created," said Goichi Suda, CEO of Grasshopper Manufacture. "By partnering with EA, a publisher that truly shares our commitment to quality and innovation, we have been able to develop Shadows of the Damned according to our ambitious vision while creating an entertainment property we believe will appeal to a global audience."

"With Shadows of the Damned, gamers will fight for love in the most difficult arena imaginable … hell," said Shinji Mikami, Creative Producer of Shadows of the Damned. "Players will find themselves surrounded by demons set on destroying their heart and soul. Only the strong will survive."

In Shadows of the Damned, gamers will assume the role of Garcia, a hard-as-nails, leather-clad, motorcycle-riding professional demon hunter who finds his true love kidnapped by vengeance-seeking demons. As he explores the farthest reaches of the netherworld, Garcia battles through hell and back, with danger and turmoil around every corner. Throughout Shadows of the Damned gamers will find themselves challenged by demented puzzles and thrust into gruesome battles with vile and deformed creatures that can only come from the darkest recesses of hell. The game features a grotesque, highly stylized art direction that transports players into a grisly world. The entire experience is enveloped with a pulse-pounding musical score by famed videogame music composer Akira Yamaoka, that takes the over-the-top action sequences and intense boss battles that both Suda51 and Mikami are renowned for creating to new heights.

“We are honored to be working with Suda-san and Mikami-san and all of the wonderfully creative minds at Grasshopper. This is one of the most daring and innovative projects in the EA Partners program,” said David DeMartini, Senior Vice President and General Manager, EA Partners. “We look forward to launching this game next summer."

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – September 15, 2010 – The EA Play Label of Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) today announced My Garden* (working title) for the Nintendo 3DSTM, a new title in development that will allow players to create custom gardens in a variety of unique and beautiful environments. Optimized for the coming 3-D platform, My Garden* will offer graphics that bring flowers to life in a vibrant and realistic manner. Digital gardeners will get to choose from hundreds of flower and plant varieties as well as unique items to design, cultivate and enhance landscapes. My Garden* is scheduled to be unveiled at EA’s Tokyo Game Showcase on September 15, 2010.

“With My Garden*, our aim was simple: to make something beautiful that comes to life on the Nintendo 3DS like no other platform,” said Rod Humble, Executive Vice President of the EA Play Label. “We hope to offer a game that’s so immersive that it truly brings the delight of owning a garden to life through a visually stunning 3D experience.”

With the help of a cute sidekick named Tanuki, players will test their green thumbs on a variety of missions that inspire them to create beautiful outdoor spaces in six unique environments such as an arid desert, the banks of a cascading brook, and a lush rainforest. Gardeners will snap a photo of their creations with the game’s free-roaming in-game camera in order to unlock rare and exotic flowers. Along the way, My Garden* players will also unlock more than 20 different abilities for Tanuki, who uses those attributes, plus a little magic, to help the garden reach its full potential.

Every gardener will have a bouquet of flowers and items to choose from in creating his or her own floral paradise. As new growth begins to push, the flora comes alive in a resplendent array of colors and textures, attracting natural garden visitors ranging from birds to butterflies, insects and other creatures. If a player wants a few more feathered friends in the garden, simply whistle bird calls into the Nintendo 3DS microphone to summon additional members of the flock. Alternatively, if too many unwanted visitors arrive at the garden gate, a quick shake of the Nintendo 3DS will send them scattering while also dispensing in-game coins that can be used to add a variety of new garden tools and more plants.

My Garden will be released alongside the hardware launch of the Nintendo 3DS. For more information on My Garden*, please visit:www.ea.com/mygarden.
