Sony Announce USA And Japan PS1 Games Are Coming To EU PSN Stores

Sony have announced USA and Japanese PS1 games are coming to EU PSN Stores as PS1 Classics. but, these games will either have an English or Japanese language on them and all the games will run at 60Hz and gamers will need a 60Hz TV to play them. Sony have said some games are already being readied for release but haven't said which ones they are. an example of a game that could be released, which was highlighted in the Blogs comments, was Parasite Eve. that game got a USA release but hasn't been released in the EU.

Sony say this now means that some games which didn't pass Q/A for a EU Release could be released if their USA/Japanese versions are out. there are of course limitations and Sony have made it clear that games which are not legally cleared for release in EU territories will not be released.

Aksys Announce They're Bringing Hakuoki: Demon Of The Fleeting Blossm To The USA In Q1 2012

Aksys Games have announced they are bringing Hakuoki: Demon Of The Fleeting Blossm on the PSP to the USA in Q1 2012. Aksys summarize it best on their press release.

Japan’s Edo Period was drawing to a close. The shogunate, who’d held power in the country for more than 200 years, found itself challenged by the imperial court, and by several domains who had chaffed under shogunal rule.
In this midst of this political unrest, an organization rose to prominence: The Shinsengumi. Originally formed to protect the street of Kyoto from masterless samurai, they came to represent the last, tragic bastion of the honor-bound samurai culture that had defined much of Japan’s history.
In Hakuoki, a young woman by the name of Chizuru comes to Kyoto in search of her missing father, and soon encounters danger and the Shinsengumi in quick succession. When it becomes clear the Shinsengumi are also searching for her father, Chizuru is put under their protection.
But odd things are afoot in Kyoto—possibly even supernatural things. Can Chizuru navigate this maze of mortal danger and political intrigue? Amidst so much mystery and death, can she find romance?
