Bethesda Detail The First Dishonored Patch, Coming To PS3, Xbox 360 And PC From Today


Bethesda have detailed the first, post release, Dishonored Patch. this patch should be out from today across PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. The patch include the follow Big Fixes:

  • Support for playing the game on multiple screens.
  • Game Settings are now saved and restored properly even when using Steam offline.
  • Fixes for some interactions with Granny Rags that invalidated nonlethal playthroughs under certain circumstances. (Note: These fixes work even for savegames AFTER the final Granny Rags encounter.)
  • Fix for a crash that could happen during loading/transition between areas – notably near Dr. Galvani’s house.
  • Reworked “Choke” interaction to make it more reliable in valid contexts.
  • Fixed minor localization issues (PS3/360).
  • Fixed global post-process that sometimes worked improperly during some missions.
  • Fix for a rare crash that could happen when killing a NPC with a possessed rat and spring razor (PS3/360)

Bethesda Announce Doom 3 BFG PC Patch, GPL Source Code Out Now

Bethesda and id Software announce the GPL Source code for Doom 3 BFG is out now. you can get it from their GitHub Page. Bethesda have also announced the PC version of Doom 3 BFG has a new update. this update brings new features as well as bug fixes, these include:

NEW FEATURES
  • All projectiles cast shadows
  • Texture LOD bias added to menu options
  • Added option to force v-sync (instead of “smart v-sync”)
  • Adjusted default brightness value
  • Shadow casting projectiles added to menu options
  • Allow setting anti-aliasing up to 16x on Nvidia hardware. AMD/Intel cap is at 8x
  • Adjusted range of vertical sensitivity (allows you to lower sensitivity further than original implementation)
  • Added option to disable checkpoints
  • Allow left/right to enter resolution menu
  • Variable FOV settings options were added into the main menu
  • Added controller bind options
  • Added additional anti-cheat measures

BUG FIXES
  • Fixed blood splatter effects break after reloading save game
  • Fixed broken view nodal code that allowed players to see through the world by backing into a wall and looking up
  • Fixed weapon impact effects break after using the artifact (heart)
  • Fixed leaderboards to work across languages

Bethesda Announce The 2004 Doom 3 Is Coming To Steam At A Lower Price From Next Week


Bethesda have announced that from next week Doom 3 and it's expansions will be available on Steam at a low price. this is the 2004 version of the game and it will be available for $9.99. the Resurrection Of Evil expansion will cost $4.99. both can be bought together in the Doom 3 Pack for $12.99.

Bethesda Have Released A New Dev Diary And Screenshots For The Elder Scrolls Online

Bethesda have released new screenshots and a video for The Elder Scrolls Online. the nearly 10 minute video is a developer diary for the game where in-game action is shown as the team discuss how they are bringing Elder Scrolls to a MMO and go over some of the basics of the game like combat, PvP Battles and Exploration.

Bethesda Have Detailed The Dunwall City Trials DLC For Dishonored, Tease Future DLC

Bethesda have announced the first piece of DLC for Dishonored is coming to PS3, PC and Xbox 360 in December. it will be released simultaneously across all platforms for $4.99/400 MS Points. Dishonored Dunwall City Trials includes 10 challenge maps aiming to test a players stealth, combat and mobility skills.

Bethesda have also teased there are 2 more add-ons coming for Bethesda. the first of these is coming 2013 and features a story driven campaign. the second pack is set for Spring 2013 and features The Whalers and their leader Daud. a third pack will be detailed closer to its launch later next year.

Bethesda Announce They Have Opened A New Studio In Austin Texas Called Battlecry Studios, Headed By Rich Vogel

Bethesda have announced they have opened a new studio in Austin Texas. Battlecry Studios is being headed by a videogame veteran Rich Vogel. Rich had been working at BioWare on Star Wars: The Old Republic and has experience working on Star Wars Galaxies and Ultima Online.

Battlecry Studios are currently hiring experienced developers for roles on an unannounced project. Bethesda have another studio in Austin with Arkane Studios who have just released Dishonored.

Bethesda Announce Hearthfire DLC For Skyrim Comes To Xbox 360 On 4th September For 400 MS Points

Bethesda have revealed the Xbox 360 release date for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim DLC Hearthfire. the Hearthfire DLC lets you purchase land and build your own home. you can move in your wife and even adopt children. your house isn't totally safe from Giants. the Hearthfire DLC will cost 400 MS Points when it comes out 4th September.
