  • THQ Announce The Red Faction Franchise is effectively over. call the game a niche and not worth pursuing
  • THQ were disappointed with Red Faction Armageddon and licensed Kids game sales. made a Q1 loss of $38.4M
  • THQ Calls MX vs ATV Alive experiment not a success. not enough games, therefore not enough DLC bought. long shelf life
  • Whilst no games were mentioned, THQ's Brian Farrell laments the perceived quality people had of their recent core games

  • PSV: Novarama seem to confirm rumour Sony reduced RAM in Vita, say it's not affected them, still RAM/GPU/CPU headroom
  • PS3: Sony Santa Monica LinkedIn Profile reveals cancelled High Rise, Hand of God, Psynapse games. 2 unannounced games
  • 3DS: Nintendo renames Super Mario 3DS + Mario Kart 3DS, now Super Mario 3D Land, out Nov, and Mario Kart 7, out Dec
  • Its rumoured by Reuters that Disney is looking to buy UTV Software Communications, they're already largest shareholders
  • WP7: Cave announce they are developing a shooting game for Windows Phone 7. its an original title, only 20/30% complete
  • THQ reveal pre-orders for Saints Row 3 are more than double than what Saint's Row 2 had at the same point
  • Sony say the cost of the PSN hack is less than they initially expected. PS3 sales are down 600K over same period in 2009
  • PC: EA reveal it was Valves decision to remove Dragon Age 2 from Steam. blames Steam's "restrictive terms of service"
