Virtual Air Guitar Company have announced they are developing Kung Fu High Impact for the Xbox 360 Kinect. the game is being made in partnership with UTV Ignition Games and Black Bean Games. Coming in November, Kung Fu High Impact is a side scrolling brawler that uses the Kinect to put the player in the game. Nintendo Announce Global 3DS Price Drop, Free Games For Existing Owners

Nintendo Have Announced they are dropping the price of the Nintendo 3DS from 12th August. The USA will see a price frop from $249.99 to $169.99. The European Price Cut will be around a third, with Nintendo saying its down to retailers to determine the final price cut.

For current Nintendo 3DS Owners, and people who will get the device up until 23.59 PM (CET) 11th August, will be entitled to free games under an "Ambassador Program". This program will be in 2 stages:

Starting from 1st September, Ambassadors will be able to download 10 NES Virtual Console games for free before they are available to the general public. these games include Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong Jr., Balloon Fight, Ice Climber and The Legend of Zelda.

Before the End of 2011, Ambassadors will get 10 free Game Boy Advance Virtual Console games. these include Yoshi’s Island, Super Mario Advance 3, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Metroid Fusion, WarioWare, Inc.: Minigame Mania and Mario vs. Donkey Kong. These games will be exclusive to Ambassadors and Nintendo has no plans to release these games to the general public.

Nintendo has also announced that the 3DS has sold over 830,000 in the USA. they say the need to reduce the price of the 3DS is to help accelerate the adoption of the hardware, but the timing and the amount of the reduction is unprecedented in Nintendo's history.

Nintendo Announce Inazuma Eleven Is Coming To The UK On 26th August

Nintendo have announced Inazuma Eleven is getting a UK release. the game was already released in Japan in 2008, but now its set to come out in the UK on 26th August. Inazuma Eleven is a mix of football and a RPG where you have to build your perfect football team from over 1,000 in-game characters. each character has their own abiltiies and unique skills. if you connect to Nintnedo Wi-Fi Connection there are a further 50 characters to download. There are 2 types of matches to play, either 11 vs 11 or 4 vs 4.

Nintendo Announce 3DS Firmware Update 2.1.0-4 Is Out Now

A New update for the Nintendo 3DS is out now. update 2.1.0-4 is a minor update that brings system stability improvements and other adjustments. i personally found that this update took a bit longer than normal to download. you can update your 3DS from the system settings or you will be prompted when trying to access the eShop.

Microsoft Announce A New Wireless Xbox 360 Headset And Media Remote Come Out In November

Microsoft have announced that from early November a new Wireless Headset and Media Remote will be available for the Xbox 360.

The New Wireless Headset comes with Bluetooth built in. because of this the headset can be used with other devices other than the Xbox 360. it has a recommended retail price of $59.99.

What Have You Played This Week?

I had hoped this week would give me more gaming time but I was wrong, I ended up being busier than I thought. But I did manage to complete a game and play a few other titles.

Football Manager 2010 – PC – Europa league was a bit difficult, it came at a time when I was still trying to improve my squad and everyone wasn't quite fit but i've made it into the first league stage.

Pokèmon White – DS – Not too much played. Mostly i've been catching Pokèmon online and transferring them to my game.

Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen – PS3 – I did manage to complete the game. I did the story missions and additional missions for both the Autobots and Decepticons. Honestly, its not a great game. You get far more story by watching the movie and there weren't many times I was really enjoying the game. The trophies are a bit of a pain and I only got around half of them. I only managed to catch 1 other person playing multiplayer for the few weeks I had the game. Even if your a fan of Transformers or the second movie, its hard to recommend the game. I feel the first movie tie in game was perhaps better, more attention seemed to be on the transformers than in this game. But at least this game didn't feel broken, it played fine throughout.

Tiny Tower – iPhone – My tower is now 53 floors high and has 90 residents.

Ratchet And Clank: A Crack In Time – PS3 – this is my current rented game. I played and owned the previous 2 PS3 games and loved them. From the off the characters are still funny and well written. The only shame I’ve found so far is that this game seems less technically impressive than the previous 2 Ratchet games. A couple of examples are some water looks very blocky and some in-game animations also look blocky. It doesn’t detract from the gameplay and i'm only a few hours in and having fun.

Dark Void – Xbox 360 – I had been playing this a while back but stopped for some unknown reason. I'm now onto episode 3. its fine...graphically it does have its moments and the flying combat sequences, whilst perhaps running a bit too long, are fun enough and challenging enough at the same time. The story is a bit average but overall i'm enjoying playing it.
