London, 26 Oct 2010: VidZoneT - the free online music streaming service for PlayStation®3 (PS3T) can reveal that in just over a year its music video service 'VidZoneT' has delivered more than half a billion RTSP music videos streams via PS3, to more than 3.7 million fans and delivered in excess of 3 billion ad impressions.
VidZone is available in 18 countries in seven languages and offers over 30,000 music videos to view for free to the PS3 user. VidZone recently added 120 pre-programmed linear TV channels from 'EMI TV' to 'Rock Legends TV' to add to the comprehensive on-demand offering where users can create party playlists, rewind, fast-forward, pause and skip to the next music video.
VidZone provides a non-intrusive ad-funded service that includes innovative advertising formats such as sponsored TV-channels and branded playlists as well as full site takeovers, 10 - 30 second pre-roll video ads, banners, MPU and leader boards. The advertising on VidZone is highly targeted including by age, location, what music video the viewer is watching and where the user resides within the application.
The VidZone team credits the service's enormous popularity to the enhanced technical proficiency recently introduced over a JAVA and SQL framework promoting an effective and flexible speed of service coupled with a diverse selection of content on offer covering thousands of Independent labels as well as Major record labels. The service also offers dozens of world exclusives including music video premieres, live concerts, more than 100 interviews, sessions and behind the scenes video footage from artists including Usher, Ciara, Kasabian, Neyo, Taio Cruz, Sia, Faithless, Groove Armada and The Prodigy.
