EverQuest II Players Can Now Join In On The Will Of A Tyrant, The Second Pre-Launch Event For Sentinels Fate
Sony Online Entertainment have announced that current and eligible former players of EverQuest II can now take part in the Will of A Tyrant Event. this is the second pre-launch event for the Sentinels Fate Expansion for Everquest II.
The Will Of A Tyrant update brings city festivals back to the game, with the first starting in January 2010. there will be new Daily Tradeskill Missions and hundreds of bug fixes across the game.

WHAT: Beginning today, current and eligible former EverQuest® II (EQII) players can journey to Qeynos and Freeport to join in on the second Sentinel's FateTM pre-launch event, Will of a Tyrant!
In Freeport, Lucan D'Lere is missing and the city has erupted in chaos. The rule of law is gone and blood runs in the streets as Lucan's would-be successors vie for power over the great city. Players must uncover the mystery behind his disappearance and who is responsible for this unprovoked attack.
The city of Qeynos is unharmed for now, but enemies of the city hide in plain sight everywhere awaiting the perfect moment to unleash their plan. One of Antonia Bayle's closes advisors has gone missing, and it is up to the players to help find him.
EQII players who left the game with their account in good standing within the past two years are also invited to participate in the pre-launch event with up to three weeks of free play. From Dec. 9-31, 2009, players can log in using their former account and receive EverQuest II The Shadow OdysseyTM trial access. Additionally, if aplayer decides to convert this trial to a paid subscription and purchase the upcoming Sentinel’s Fate expansion, that player will receive an exclusive in-game item “Marble Effigy of Al’Kabor”, 250 Station Cash™ and access to the Sentinel’s Fate Beta on or around Jan. 19, 2010.
ABOUT THE WILL OF A TYRANT GAME UPDATE: • EverQuest II Sentinel’s Fate Pre-Launch Event #2 – Roehn Theer’s minions are on the move leaving destruction in their path. Players must uncover their evil plot and stop them from destroying another city
• City Festivals are Back! –Festivals started by the Far Seas Trading Company are scheduled to begin in January 2010
• New Daily Tradeskill Missions in Kunark! – Players can seek out Assistant Volwon in Bathezid’s Watch to participate
• Bug Bash 2009!
o 300 quest bugs, plus an additional 300 miscellaneous bugs have been fixed
o Many creatures throughout Norrath that previously did not grant Alternate Advancement experience now do
o Erollisi's Lost Longbow, the Longbow of Valor, the Buckler of the Broken Heart and the Tower of Love can now each be turned into a trophy item to be placed within player homes
o Item tooltips will now give information about gains and losses over currently equipped items

From December 9, 2009 to December 31, 2009, all EverQuest II accounts inactive between November 12, 2007 to November 20, 2009 (in good standing) will receive complimentary access to EverQuest II Rise of Kunark and a trial version of EverQuest II The Shadow Odyssey (unless previously owned). Customers who convert such trial account to a monthly subscription plan for EverQuest II will receive the EverQuest II Rise of Kunark compilation with their subscription, but will be required to purchase EverQuest II The Shadow Odyssey in order to access its associated content. In-game item(s) are non-tradable. Station Cash is non-transferable and will be added to account holder’s Wallet after successful conversion on December 31, 2009. No cash value. Benefits awarded one (1) per account.
