The new TV commercial can be viewed at www.thebeatlesrockband.com/press and will begin on-air rotations on Saturday, November 21st.
Celebrating the massive development effort behind The Beatles: Rock Band, VH1 has created a special look at how the game was created, including never-before-seen footage of Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr at Abbey Road Studios being presented with work in progress by the Harmonix creative team. “The Making of The Beatles: Rock Band” is a 30-minute special that features interviews from Giles Martin, co-producer of The Beatles innovative LOVE album project and Music Supervisor for The Beatles: Rock Band, and Alex Rigopulos, co-founder and CEO or Harmonix Music Systems, as well as additional interviews with the development team. The special reveals the origins of the game and a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the music video game that the New York Times called “the most important video game yet made.” “The Making of The Beatles: Rock Band” will premiere Friday, November 27th on VH1 Classic at 7:30 PM ET/PT.
"The Beatles: Rock Band is the perfect family gift this holiday, and our new TV creative, featuring the song ‘Day Tripper,’ really demonstrates how the game crosses generations to bring the whole family together,” said Paul DeGooyer, Senior Vice President of Electronic Games and Music for the MTV Networks Music Group. “We are also very excited that VH1 documented the making of The Beatles: Rock Band. Whether you are a Beatles fan, music game fan, or both, this VH1 special is a fascinating behind-the-scenes at look at this exciting project.”

What Have You Played This Week?
Wow, writing it down it's shocking how little I played. The site kept me busy for sure...must make time for more games, lol.
Football Manager 09 – PC – I decided to go back to a favourite team in the game, FC bayern Munchen. They are not my favourite team, that's Ipswich Town, but they are one of the easiest teams to play as, which enables me to look for other players, tactics and such. Would love to get the new game, but unfortunately I can't afford it, but what is great about the Football Manager games is that you can play them for a long time, even if a new version has come out (typically as the newest Football Manager needs 1 patch for it to get great.)
Fat Princess – PS3 – Still disappointed with how few people are playing. At least Bots are fairly intelligent. Still surprising how few people don't understand what needs to be done to win. It feels like me and maybe a couple struggle to keep the team going sometimes.
Tokobot – PSP – this game is hard. No two ways about it. I'm near the end now and it just keeps getting harder. In particular i'm at a point where I have 6 minutes to escape. And it throws many difficult levels at you. At This point of the game many of the small slight issues with Tokobot become very apparent and become an issue. It is a shame, the story isn't that great, but the graphics, the universe that been created, and the Tokobots themselves are all great. I feel that this game hasn't been balanced right and that a sequel would have addressed issues like this. I'll try to finish it, but it's really hard.
Critter Crunch Demo – PS3 – i've been hooked on the art since it was revealed. And the art really is beautiful. It makes full use of 1080p and its not just backgrounds. Menus, characters, enemies...everything looks great and has a cute feel about it. The game play isn't bad either. The demo gives you a good idea as to what the game is about. If your not sure I fully recommend downloading the demo. I'm sure it'll help make up your mind.

Jewels, like Bonsai Blast, is another game that has been on the Android Market for a while now. The game is very similar to PopCap's Bejeweled. Jewels has a fairly small file size, just 784KB, but still has high quality background artwork and jewels. The game loads fast straight to the high scores, but does require you to go to menu and pick a new game that way. Hitting new game reveals the games only 2 modes, Normal and timed.
Normal is much like Bejelewd, you play until there are no more moves available. There are no special powerups in the game, you simply touch the jewel you want to move and move it in the direction to get 3 or more of a kind. When you fill a bar at the bottom, you move to the next level and the bonus increases. The more levels you complete, the more bonus you get but it also means more jewels need to matched. Unfortunately, not long after level 3 I get the feeling that the amount of jewels needed to get to the next level increases too quickly and slows the games pace. What doesn't help the speed the jewels move after you tell them to, or the speed jewels drop from the top. It feels just a tad too slow and becomes more noticeable when you start progressing in Normal Mode and Timed Mode.
Timed mode is again like Bejeweled's Timed Mode. The bar at the bottom is continuously decreasing and you need to get rid of jewels faster to get to the next level where the bar decreases faster. This mode works fine for for the first 5 or 6 levels, but after that I find the speed of the jewels moving, deleting, and coming down from the top, start to become a hindrance.
Despite those issues, the game still plays very well. I haven't had any issues with the touch controls and find it very accurate. It knows which jewel you have pressed and which direction you want it to move. The two modes in the game do feel light as its possible to play through a game of each Normal and Timed very quickly. But as a pick up and play game, the two modes are over quickly enough to fill a short gaming burst.
This is a good Mobile version of a Bejeweled type game. The modes may be lacking, but Normal and Timed do provide good gameplay for short gaming bursts. I'd recommend this to all Android owners as it is very accessible, has a small file size, and works very well.

Legendary Racers
Press Release
REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) today announced an all-new Team Racing pack for the critically-acclaimed Need for Speed SHIFT™. The content pack takes online racing to the next level with an action-packed new race mode and five renowned racing cars - all for free (Need for Speed SHIFT and Xbox LIVE® or PlayStation®Network account required). The Team Racing pack is the first downloadable content for Need for Speed SHIFT and will be available worldwide on December 1st on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system. The pack will be released for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system on December 3rd in Europe and on December 10th in North America.
The Team Racing mode brings a fresh new challenge to SHIFT by completely redefining online racing. In this mode, two teams of up to six racers will battle against each other for online supremacy. Individual driving strategy and playing it safe won’t work as team tactics and 200 mph split-second decisions are required to push your team to the podium.
As part of the new content, players will also get access to these legendary racers:
1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 427
1967 Shelby GT-500
1969 Dodge Charger R/T
1971 Dodge Challenger R/T
1998 Toyota Supra Mark IV
The Team Racing content pack is custom-made for Need for Speed SHIFT, a spectacular racing game originally released in September 2009. The game introduces a brutal first-person crash dynamic and a signature cockpit view that delivers a true driver’s experience. The game further personalizes the experience through the all-new driver profile -- a unique persona based on the driving skill and style of each player. With a perfect ‘10’ score from GameSpy.com and G4TV.com, and 90+ scores from IGN.com, Official Xbox Magazine, PlayStation: The Official Magazine, Team Xbox.com, Game Daily.com, Gametrailers.com and more, Need for Speed SHIFTis the highest rated Need for Speed game in years.
Need for Speed SHIFT is now available on the PlayStation3, Xbox 360, PC, PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system, mobile and coming soon on the iPhone™. More information can be found at www.needforspeed.com or follow us on Twitter at NeedforSpeed.

Press Release
Want to have some fun while you shop? Nintendo is making it easier than ever for holiday consumers to sample the year's most sought-after games on its Wii™ and Nintendo DSi™ video game systems. Starting Nov. 23, the Nintendo Holiday Mall Experience will touch down in 35 shopping malls from coast to coast, offering free hands-on demos of some of Nintendo's hottest games. Whether they're seeking gifts for friends and family members or simply taking a break from the season's hustle and bustle, attendees can enjoy an interactive glimpse into the rich variety of entertainment offered by Nintendo.
Using the Wii console's popular motion controls, Nintendo Holiday Mall Experience participants can play activities like archery and basketball in Wii Sports Resort™, explore the four-person multiplayer excitement of New Super Mario Bros.™ Wii, step onto the Wii Balance Board™ accessory to experience new activities and enhanced features in the fitness-themed Wii Fit™Plus, and more. They can also pick up a Nintendo DSi system to sample hand-held games such as Style Savvy, which lets players manage their own virtual boutique, the puzzle-basedProfessor Layton and the Diabolical Box™ and the highly anticipated The Legend of Zelda™: Spirit Tracks after its launch on Dec. 7.
In addition to retail game offerings, visitors can learn about the wide array of games and applications available for download via the online Wii Shop Channel and Nintendo DSi Shop. They can also experiment with fun hardware features like the Wii MotionPlus™ accessory – which delivers exceptional precision in Wii games such as Wii Sports Resort – and the built-in cameras and photo-manipulation features of the portable Nintendo DSi system. Additionally, Nintendo representatives will be on hand at each location to guide demos, answer questions and help with holiday gift-giving ideas.
