Press Release

REDMOND, Wash., Sept. 23, 2009 – Beginning Sunday, Sept. 27, the world's most popular home video game system gets even more appealing. On that day, Nintendo's suggested retail price for its record-setting Wii™ drops by $50 to $199.99. The new $199.99 Wii price point delivers the full iconic Wii gaming experience, including the motion-sensing Wii Remote™ controller, Nunchuk™ controller and Wii Sports™ software, and furthers Nintendo's mission to expand the gaming universe by making video games accessible to more and more consumers.

Wii ownership also opens an avenue for players to the industry's most diverse and unique collection of home console games. Key upcoming releases include Wii Fit™ Plus, launching on Oct. 4, and the first truly multiplayer Mario™ title ever, New Super Mario Bros.™ Wii.

Both new and veteran players in America can jump into this new Mario action when it arrives on Nov. 15.

And beginning Oct. 2, consumers in select cities will have a new, convenient way to decide which Nintendo adventure to tackle next. On that day, a novel series of sampling events called "World of Nintendo" kicks off in Long Beach, Calif.

"Wii has reached more video game players than any game system before because it attracts everyone—both men and women, and people of all ages," said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "Our research shows there are 50 million Americans thinking about becoming gamers, and this more affordable price point and our vast array of new software mean many of them can now make the leap and find experiences that appeal to them, whatever their tastes or level of gaming experience."

The inherent social nature of Wii is fully demonstrated in a groundbreaking way with New Super Mario Bros. Wii, the first Mario game ever to allow four players to take part in the action at the same time. That same dynamic is propelling the enthusiastic response for Wii Sports Resort™, while the release of Wii Fit Plus includes everything you love about Wii Fit™, along with new multiplayer elements and the ability to customize workouts to fit individual needs.

See below for full details on the World of Nintendo events that are scheduled to take place in Long Beach, Philadelphia and New York throughout the month of October.

Remember that Wii features parental controls that let adults manage the content their children can access. For more information about this and other Wii features, visit Wii.com.

SkyVu Announce That Battle Bears Is Ranking Top on iTunes Since Its Launch

http://www.battlebears.com/storage/post-images/BattleBears_iPhone_ad01d.jpg?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=1251931206555
Here is the beginning of my post.

SkyVu have announced that their iPhone/iPod Touch game, Battle Bears, has been ranking top on iTunes since it's launch on August 31st. the game has currently sold over 800,000 units so far.
The object of the game is to kill the waves of Pink teddy bears that come towards you. you are Oliver, a robotic teddy bear, fighting for survival with your gun. if you score a head shot, coloured beams of blood shoot from the enemies necks.

Press Release

OMAHA, Neb. --(Business Wire)-- Sep 23, 2009 A brave bear facing fatal hugs from attacking pink teddy bears has earned BATTLE BEARS™ top ranking on iTunes since its launch August 31st. The new game from CORALINE animator Benjamin Vu’s upstart production company SkyVu Pictures, offers adorable animation, a tongue-in-cheek theme and intense bear-on-bear action. BATTLE BEARS went to Top Ten Apps on iTunes in its first week. It remains the #1 Action/Adventure Game and #3 All Games despite stiff competition. The game, currently at 800,000 downloads, is expected to reach one million by the end of September.

The object of the new game: kill cuddly pink teddy bears before they commit “huggacide” with deadly embraces to OLIVER, an advanced robotic teddy bear with a lot of attitude. When OLIVER annihilates the hug-crazed bears, rainbow colored blood beams from their necks or splashes across the moving touch screen. But the homicidal teddies multiply, and each of 20 levels of play leads to more advanced battles, cut scenes and surprises featuring new weapons, including the “Bearzooka” and the powerful “Unicorn Horn Crossbow.” For a sample of the game action: http://www.battlebears.com/game/.

“It’s Care Bears meets Black Hawk Down,” says writer/director Benjamin Vu, “Next month, we’ll release new versions with more slightly demented details on our characters and storyline.”

BATTLE BEARS™ is available for 99 cents for a limited time on the iTunes App Store. Also available is a free, shorter version of BATTLE BEARS that allows players to try out the game at no charge. Cryptic Have Revealed A New Federtaion Starship Class In Star Trek Online.

http://media3.startrekonline.com.s3.amazonaws.com/img/ships/discovery/sto_shipoftheline_discovery_092209_01.jpg

Cryptic have revealed a new Federation Starship Class in their upcoming MMO Star Trek Online. The Discovery Class is an evolution of the Intrepid Class of which U.S.S Voyager is the most well known vessel. the vessel is designed for "long exploration missions"1, "fleet support or solo patrol vessel"2.

Like the Intrepid class, The Discovery Class features Variable-Geometry Pylons which are designed to improve engine efficiency. a new addition are the class's Warp Foils. these are designed to improve stability during high Warp or whilst the ship is using Transwarp Conduits. these Foils are being studied as to whether they will be added to other classes in the future.

The Class is not the most powerful in the fleet, but it makes up for this by having "...sensor arrays are state-of-the-art and can identify weaknesses in enemy ships, locate and track vessels or even detect some cloaked ships."3 it also have other improvements like an improved Tractor Beam and Deflector Array.

The vessels are equipped with Holoemitters throughout the ship, and feature the Astrometrics that the original Intrepid class U.S.S Voyager created.

Description: Experience a unique combination of strategy and skill as you maintain a level playing field in the physics-based action puzzler You, Me, and the Cubes. The action centers around Fallos, mysterious creatures that resemble humans and have an ability to balance on a playing field of 3-D cubes. First, create a pair of Fallos inside your Wii Remote™ controller by shaking it up and down. Next, determine suitable places for the Fallos to land, then fling them to the selected cube with a swinging motion. After that, the Fallos are on their own. If your placement is sound, the Fallos will remain stable and you'll clear the stage after tossing a required number onto the cubes. But if the weight or locations of Fallos causes the cubes to tilt and sway too much, the Fallos will lose their balance and fall off. Adding to the challenge, you'll find that some cubes have different properties, making tosses tricky and further threatening the stability of the Fallos. Guide Fallos through dozens of single-player stages or invite family and friends to join you in two-player cooperative mode.
